The staff is great. The place look nice, but the food is nasty. Can't blame the chef if the owner is keeping old food in the fridge that he didn't sell the night before or two.
This is the 2nd time I get picadillo and it tasted old and nasty. It doesn't even look like meat.
The 1st time I ordered the same meal, the rice had a moldy smell to it. It was sticking, look like rice putting with a moldy smell.
This is not cuban food. It doesn't even come close to La Caretta or other cuban cafeteria that I eat at when in Miami.
However, the breakfast is good and that because you have to fried the eggs on the spot.
Need to find out what type of meat they are buying and from where. I put it to this way, Taco Bell artificial "Fit for human consumption meat) has a better taste.

The decor is very interesting and nothing fancy - just way I like it and reason I’m not giving it one star. I Had the Cuban omelette that sounds very good on paper with peppers onions, cheese and ham. 2 mamey shakes and 2 croquettes were 40.00. I know prices gone up but I would prefer to spend them on good quality food not undercooked potatoes and shake that has too much ice in it. Plus they have an extra charge that is for using credit card or debit card. Young lady could not explain what it was. I told her I’m using debit so they will not charge you as credit cards do. This charge was put on the bill before she even knew my method of payment. It’s nothing major but 4 percent is still money. I don’t think I will be...
Read moreWent there once for breakfast and once for lunch. Not good. With my breakfast the potatoes were extremely undercooked, and they gave me two little tiny pieces of Cuban bread the size of Oreo cookies. My wife had a Cuban omelette that had gigantic chunks of onions in it. Imagine eating eggs and chewing on a big piece of onion. The cafe con leche which we usually love in Cuban places was just okay and it was $5 each. Today I went back because I was in the mood for a Cuban sandwich. Three employees there, not one spoke any English. The Cuban sandwich didn't come with fries or anything and very little meat. It was all bread. I took the little bit of meat from one half and put it on the other half to just make one small sandwich. The pork was really tough. Both meals were pricey. We will not...
