My husband and I recently visited Patrizia in Deerfield Beach, FL with our cousins from Long Island for a birthday party. We never heard of it, but our cousins raved about their NY locations and rightly so. We were born and raised in Italy, we lived in several Countries and several States, my husband was in the hotel industry for twenty years and we regularly had the opportunity to eat at some of the top restaurants in so many places. We also live in Las Vegas, where so many restaurants across the Country and the world have representations by star studded celebrity chefs and all the accolades the industry has to offer. The freshness, the quality and the authenticity of the food served at Patrizia's is second to none and left us absolutely breathless at every bite (and there were so many bites!!!). Typically there is at least one item on the menu at every restaurant on earth whose taste will not agree with every guest. Shockingly, of the tens and tens of delicious dishes served, there was not even one that was just OK, EVERYTHING was simply HEAVENLY. The service was memorable by professional and friendly staff, plus the constant masterful presence of the owners brought back something special that has been lost in the new millennium in so many eateries. We literally begged the owners to consider opening a location in Las Vegas, because it will be a treat for lovers of great food, a resounding success story and we would be dining there every single week. Thank you so much for an amazing event. Any tourist or resident of Palm Beach County and surrounding areas is strongly encouraged to go to Patrizia's, do not deprive yourselves of the culinary experience...
Read moreWe went for Christmas Eve. Last year we had a 5 star experience at the Ft. Lauderdale experience and wanted to re-create it again but apparently they were closed for renovations so when we made reservations the Deerfield location called us to see if we wanted to change to their location. We did not want to miss the family style meal that was so over the top last year we agreed. A bit of a further drive but the location offered a DJ that played holiday music, 70s, 80s, and a few pop songs mixed in. It added to the atmosphere. The Dolphins game was on, which was also great to see them win. Now for the "needs improvement". Our server- I don't think he spoke. Perhaps new to the industry or a millennial that just has no emotions. He did not smile, introduce himself, or do anything that made any attempt to make us feel welcome. I smiled told him Merry Christmas and asked his name. I worked in the service industry for a long time- I know it sucks but I also know I'm working for tips so I better throw on a smile and get through it. The other aspect that needed some improvement was portion sizes and I'm ashamed to say that since I rolled out of there stuffed like a can of biscuits but the Ft. Lauderdale location definitely outshined Deerfield in this regard. The Fiocchi Pasta, which is my favorite was definitely skimped on for 4 people. Last year it was plentiful so it was just something I noticed. Nonetheless, the food was delicious so I cannot fault them there and the DJ and people watching was great. I'm hoping to return to Ft. Lauderdale when...
Read moreWe came here for happy hour. The place was filled with regulars. We were greeted at the door by the hostess but we decided to sit at the bar. No bartender on site for the first five to 10 minutes than a bartender came in asking if we had been helped or if we just cashed out so we let him know that we had not been helped. He brought menus stated that it was happy hour and he mentioned the specials we order drinks and wings. I order a lychee martini since I love Lychee granted anywhere else I go and they offered the drink it always includes a lychee garnish this one did not but it was yummy... turns out he didn't put one on mine as I saw the same drink made by a different bartender and she put a lychee and a flower as garnish. They only offered one flavor of wings for happy hour and the wings were yummy. For my second drink same Martini the bartender said I will not put a flower this time since I already gave you one with your first drink I was surprised but I say ok can you at least put a lychee and he said let me see if I can find one. Internally I was laughing because he was being so serious. He gave me a lychee and we finished our drinks but the atmosphere wasn't inviting I guessed since weren't regulars. The music was nice, the bathrooms were clean. Maybe next time we will sit at a table but personally I always...
