They really need to hire another waitress being that we showed up at 9:40am and had to rush the waitress to take our check at 10:55am. There was only 2 of us and knew what we were ordering before we got there. On to the food....my girlfriends was great until she placed another order of toast to finish her meal and it never came til we boxed up our order. Then she had a to go order that she was craving. She order yogurt! She paid over $5 for granola yogurt and after we were about to pay she realized she didnt even get bananas. She was craving the yogurt with fruit and bananas. So I asked the waitress if it came with it for that price and she said yes but they were out. So she paid a crazy amount and didn't get what was on the menu but didn't even get told about it until I asked! On to me....my biscuits were hard small rocks and oily tasting and barely had sausage or gravy for that matter (they did refill the gravy afterwards) and my grits had no butter (which isn't southern grits!). I was really shocked how different it was this visit! If you check my last review it was awesome! I even talked my son and his girlfriend into going here last Saturday instead of Grams kitchen. I took an hr off work and brought my friend here because of the food last weekend. I guess the food is only good and fresh on the weekend and the service is slow during the week. I will have to try the Potato Patch next time because our total for 2 people today was $29. We did not have a $30 experience! It's ashame too because we work at Sykes and get huge orders with Bitesquad often. I had been...
Read moreSo today me and my girlfriend decided to drive out the 25 minutes to go to her and her moms favorite restaurant, I’ve never been but have been told many times it blows the competition in the area out of the water; HA. We walked inside and sat down, sat for about 5 minutes before the waitress came up and asked us what we wanted to drink (keep in mind she had menus under her arm at the time) we both told her we wanted sweat tea and she walked away, didn’t hand us a menu or asked or anything. About 10 minutes later I see her walking around the kitchen with a bucket and something else. Don’t know what it was, could have been for the tea, but where is a menu so we can figure out what we want to eat... another 5 minutes sitting there another two people walked in and were met with menus as soon as they sat down. At that point me and my girlfriend were pretty annoyed, 3-5 minutes later we just got up and left. Super disappointed but the local competition cough cough Big Rig never disappoints. I think I just have horrible luck with restaurants in general but either way it’s ridiculous we sat there for so long without a menu or any...
Read moreI think it's important to note that none of the staff wore masks and don't believe I've seen another reviewer mention this. I know this can be a turn off from potential first time customers.
3 1/2 stars.
First time stopping by from Apopka. Stopped by approx 1pm on a Saturday with my daughter (they close at 2pm). Ordered pancakes (w/ choc chips), eggs, bacon (one from kids menu and one adult entree), 2 waters, and a coffee.
Order came out quick.
8yr LOVED the PLENTIFUL amount of choc chips on her pancakes. And gave it a higher rating than iHops version. The bacon was nice and CRISPY the way we both like it. The eggs were a bit cold for my liking, but tasted fine. Suspect they may have been cooked ahead of time to save time. Daughter tried the water before me and immediately commented about how it tasted odd/chlorine. Common issue in some restaurants here in Florida, but thought I mention it anyway. They could use a water softener/reverse osmosis. Coffee was decent. The waitress checked back often. Restaurant was clean,...
