My friend made birthday reservation for 6. We arrive and manager says “we don’t take reservations” I see 3 tables in back 1 has patrons all we need was 6 seats. Most customers are happy to slide their table over to help others. Maybe a free drink or desert would help. That happens everyone is happy. But not here. My friend showed the manager the reservation on the phone. The manager then said that’s not our number. OMG. So that twice he basically called my friend a liar. First telling him we don’t take reservations so we don’t have a reservation and again that’s the phone number sending reservation is not our number and not in such a professional manner. Not a good way to handle what turns out to be the restaurants mistake in making the reservation for the next night. After that last bit of attitude I had enough and said I’m out of here let’s go somewhere other than here 3 others immediately agreed. At that point the “fact” the restaurant manager had to own up and say the restaurant errored and booked the reservation for tomorrow Saturday and not (tonight) Friday (which happens). So be it. But when I said time to go the attitude never changed. Not hey sorry our mistake. Just left a bad taste in our mouth without eating. Can’t Imagine treating locals in the summer when business is slow like this. All we wanted was to seat. So congrats Mr. Manager great way to blow 6 dinners and lose any good will for referrals. For that matter I’m not coming back. Even when management supposedly offered the guy who made the reservations $50 to come back if he is willing. This was not about $$$. It’s about piss poor attitude and basically accusing my friend of being a liar. The manager asked us to wait as he called the other manager. Again OMG. All the while we stand outside in summer heat. Not! Sure throw 6 dinners and tips for servers $$$ away or like us put up with attitude or walk across the street to eat at a number of other restaurants. . Bet ownership won’t be too happy to read this review.
Sad I have to write this. But since Me. Rack and I are not on first name basis and don’t share phone numbers this is the only way to reach out. Especially when I did tell that very same manager I intended to give my reviews on every Chanel I find. Yelp-Google-TripAdvisor to start. He couldn’t care less.
Think about how much time I spent writing this and the other reviews. What a...
Read moreIf I’m going to spend almost $100 on brunch(no alcohol), I expect better than this.
So I made a reservation for this restaurant through RESY and based off reviews . which now I believe might be a bunch of lies or maybe because most of them ate sandwiches.
In the reservation It says that we’re celebrating a birthday
not only does this restaurant send you a lot of text messages to confirm which is fine but to go through all of that , and arrive to no one even mentioning that we were there for a birthday. Shame on you. .
OK let’s get to the cauliflower buffalo awfulness, the buffalo sauce NOT GOOD , the sauce under it NOT GOOD. The way the cauliflower is cooked. That was good. The almonds must be for the crunch because they serve no purpose in flavor ,
Im pretty sure i was looking at the manager the entire time, he didn’t come by but he was on the line the entire time, im glad i asked to taste the Caesar dressing (lol) tasted like Miracle whip, and water, i gagged (lol)
My mom got the chicken and waffles. I’m not sure why they put the apple slaw on top of the waffle or why they wouldn’t let diners know that is how that’s going to be served , it comes with this spicy sauce which taste like spicy watered down honey. My mom said the chicken was dry, but she did find the breading to be tasty.
We got the mango strawberry tea, nothing about the name was in the flavor. It sounded attractive until it got to the table and its JUST TEA. Lol!
The flavorless slither of a egg white omelette wrapped around the filling and the side salad was undesirable , there was hot sauce on the table that could not save this omelette no salt and pepper on the table. I’m pretty sure I needed that.
My server was Bri, sweet girl, at the end of my meal I asked for napkins, and what she gave me was something you would find in a bathroom. lol. So i left my 20% and left.
Honestly, I believe that they might have a great sandwich or maybe a burger but it’s 11 AM and there’s really no excuse for you not to speak to our table. The restaurant is super small. You can turn around and see everyone. The manager should be touching tables not standing on the line expo’ing like it...
Read moreBeing someone who frequently dines in the Boca/boynton area, I was excited to try out your Delray Restaurants, as I have been to Gary Rack’s farmhouse kitchen in Boca Raton multiple times.
I specifically made an reservation 2 weeks prior and humbly requested an outside seating( and I was specific about which area and chairs) I was reassured that it shouldn't be an problem.
On our arrival ( myself and my mother), on Mother’s Day, we were greeted by an young lady(hostess) that said we could either choose between an high chair table or a booth outside( complete disregard for reservation made) , we then followed Ryan ( the manager)to the booth, turns out this booth is right next to the dumpster, before I could turn to him to ask about an different table he had walked away, I made my way back to the hostess stand where I was told there is nothing they could do, I then took it upon myself to move my Mother and I to an more suitable table, without smelly dumpster as your side dish! We were quickly and rudely told by Ryan ( the manager ) that we were not to sit there as these tables where reserved for reservations, which didn’t make sense as I made my reservation 2weeks ago? He then continued to say he could give us an inside table or an high top table, when I asked if he could give us a few moments to decide , he rudely said there is “nothing to decide on and you need to move!” Unprofessional to say the least! My mother was so upset, and this on Mothers Day !! She then said “ please just take me somewhere else “
Absolute WORST dining experience We have ever had!
A MASSIVE thank you to “ The Office “ the restaurant just across the street for treating my mother with the Utmost respect and Kindness...
