Absolutely Outstanding Dining Experience! We had such an amazing experience at J&J Seafood Bar and Grill in Delray Beach. The new owner was out front the day before we dined, personally handing out gift cards to invite people in, which immediately showed how much pride and passion he has for the business. We came back the next day and were blown away! The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and our server was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and perfectly attentive without hovering. The food was out of this world! We started with oysters that were some of the freshest and best I’ve had in years, followed by the owner and server’s recommendations for our entrées, which did not disappoint. Everything was cooked to perfection and full of flavor. (I was so excited when our entrees hit the table, in fact, that I completely forgot to take pictures, haha!) I even tried a crisp white wine by the glass that paired beautifully with the seafood. I highly recommend it for any wine lovers! The staff worked seamlessly together, and it’s clear the owners have created a culture built on care, respect, and genuine hospitality. We even saw them handle an allergy/food preference request at another table with total professionalism and ease. This is a huge plus in my book as someone who’s both worked and managed in restaurants for over 10 years and has food allergies myself. We even had the pleasure of meeting the owners’ family, who were celebrating their son’s 6th birthday nearby. It added such a personal and heartwarming touch to the evening. All around, this place is a gem! Perfect for a casual dinner, a date night, or just treating yourself to incredible seafood and service. (In my opinion, their price points match perfectly with the quality and service you will receive.) We’ll absolutely be back! (Small note, their bar area looks awesome as well, and they do have a screen available for any big games that might be on during your time dining with them.) Give um a try! It'll be worth...
Read moreJust moved here had questions about the menu the waitress was helpful for the first two questions than started getting rude and rushing. My husband is a big seafood lover and had some questions on a few different things on the menu again she answered a question than got annoyed so he ended up choosing the steak and shrimp was told he would get extra shrimp because he didn't want the crab cake they said that's not a problem he asked for his filets to be cooked medium. I ordered the rib plate, the ribs were fine but the fries where burnt. the corn wasn't cooked and cold. My husband's food came out and immediately he realized it's not what he wanted to order asked if he could switch his order and the waitress looked at him with an attitude and said no my boss won't allow it because we will have to throw it out. I have never been told at any restaurant that the food I order can't be sent back because I didn't like it. On top of that the steaks were cooked rare the "extra" shrimp was 1 or 2 pieces he had in total 3 shrimp. Overall experience was horrible we will not be coming back almost got up and walked out that's how rude the service and experience was here we got there at 1:30 and they close at 3 probably has alot to do with the experience as well if you don't like dealing with people and question get out of the...
Read moreThe one star is for the food. First time there last night and our last. Owner/chef rudest person I ever met. The restaurant is not that big and very noisy as we were there celebrating my birthday and spending 200 hundred plus dollars on dinner my husband asked if the music worked as there were speakers on the wall. The waitress said she would check I guess she was annoyed by his request as he asked a 2 nd time because at one point the chef came over and called my husband the trouble maker and told us if we want music we should’ve gone to hurricanes around the corner. Like I said the place is small and noisy and my husband has issues with noise levels and just had a request for dinner music to add some ambiance. He is a retired fireman from NYC and this has been a rough month we were looking forward to trying this place as we heard good things about the food. Food was good but no one should be treated and talked to like that especially the paying CUSTOMER. Many other places on Atlantic Ave were we will continue to visit as they respect...
