Applebee's Grill + Bar — Restaurant in Delta Charter Township

We went to the Applebee's on West Saginaw in front of the Lansing Mall. We received some of the most horrendous service. We had a black female whose name I won't mention. She provided terrible service. Our order was not complicated. We both ordered the same thing. Once we finished our salads. We sat for a food with our salad plates ready to be taken. She she took the people next to us plates blessed hours on the table. Mind you they were white. The whites next to us received better service than we did. She was loud and obnoxious. We could hear her conversation from the other area of the restaurant. Evidently she did not approve of my fiance and I dining together. We wanted additional salads to take home. We ordered them and they came back looking like kids salad. So I sent them back and when they returned she slammed them on the table and salad came all over my clothes and asked me was that okay they just put some lettuce in there but they didn't put anything else in there. Close my eyes took a pause gave them back instead of could I please see the manager. The manager made it right at least try to but I was so upset with this particular waitress did I tell the manager do not let her come back to my table. My fiance was upset and was about to walk out the door. That's how bad the service was from her. I usually give really good tips but she only got $3.54. She wasn't going to get any more than that which was the 15%. I told the manager that if I ever dined again at that Applebee's that I would not let her serve me at all. I was a little upset. I will still professional and maintain my cool. But that was uncalled for. I'm pretty secure and being a woman. But he chose me. He said he wants me. He is free to choose anyone that he wants. I want him. But there is no reason for terrible service just because you're infatuated with my man. We made the best of it and left. Then my fiance threw up this morning. How do I put this nicely without completely destroying this place….so I frequent this location because I’ve personally never had a terrible experience. Until now. First of all, they are hiring servers with zero to no experience whatsoever. Our server came over to get our drink order and I normally order a tall draft beer. She had to take our drink order twice….one tall beer, a lemonade and a juice…not that difficult in my opinion (but then again I’ve been a server for years). She comes back with the other drinks and says “my bartender doesn’t know what a tall cold snap is. I’m not trying to be smart but I don’t know what that is”…this bartender I had seen maybe twice in the last month and he’s not the greatest but if you can’t name the 5 beers on tap that are in front of your face, and you don’t know the difference between a short and a tall beer, there’s no hope for you. I patiently pointed at the Sam adams tap and said “it’s your seasonal Sam adams draft at the moment”. She looked confused as all get out. TRAIN YOUR STAFF PEOPLE!!!! I should mention that the time before this, the place had about three tables in the store and the staff were cussing, complaining, and telling stories about serve staff that were sent home crying, poor management and complaining about tables that had left. NOT PROFESSIONAL GUYS!!!! P.S. my child is a well behaved little man. He immediately said French fries when the server came up to get our drink order (he’s 3) and she said “oh we are gonna fight fight”. Honestly I don’t know if I can ever go back after that. Sorry but I’ll be calling to see what staff you have on before I come in from now...

👎👎👎👎👎 I expected more from this place, I had been there before, their food was not bad, their service left something to be desired. But this time it was truly disrespectful, when we arrived we had to wait about 5 minutes for them to receive us to be able to sit down, and another 20 minutes for our "waitress" if you can call it that, to ask us for our drinks; the girl seemed to be on another astral planet. It took another 20 minutes to bring my drink (there were practically no people, those who were at the bar were already finishing) literally after waiting another 10 minutes for him to return with a glass and disappear again, he arrives to ask for the order we were tempted to leave at that moment, and leave the payment for the drinks but we decided to give it another chance, the waitress took another 15 minutes and brought us the most disgusting food the meat was raw, my chicken was pink and the waitress did not even deign to come to see if we were okay, we had to look for the manager on our own, who didn't even have the decency to apologize, they gave us a discount and the waitress just started to say that if we wanted a box to take that disgusting food with us, she wasn't so upset or my dog ​​consumes such disgusting things.
