Beacon RiNo in Denver, Colorado, is easily one of the most exceptional venues I have had the pleasure of performing at—and it’s all because of its incredible team, led by the phenomenal Heaven. From the moment I walked through the doors as a performing artist, I felt genuinely welcomed by a team that wasn’t just doing a job they had to, but one they clearly loved.
The venue itself is beautifully curated: industrial-chic décor, warm lighting, and thoughtfully arranged seating make Beacon feel like a home away from home. But what truly sets it apart is the people behind the scenes—especially the staff and management. Every interaction felt personal, genuine, and steeped in hospitality. Whether I was preparing backstage or mingling with guests, I never felt like just another performer. The staff took time to ask how I was, if I needed anything, and even offered water, snacks, and some good conversation to calm the pre-show butterflies. Small gestures, maybe—but they made a huge difference.
Now, let me highlight Heaven, the manager. In a world where performers often feel like an afterthought, Heaven made it clear from the start that artists are valued. She checked in regularly during soundcheck, asking what I needed to be comfortable—not just technically, but holistically. “Do you feel good? Comfortable with the setup? Anything else we can do so you can shine?” That level of care isn’t just professional—it’s heartfelt. And during the performance, Heaven wasn’t just observing; she was actively engaged, making sure the vibe was right, the lighting and sound were crisp, and that both I and the audience were having an amazing time.
Heaven also ensured the audience’s experience matched the performers’. She would approach guests between sets, making sure everyone had drinks, felt welcomed, and was enjoying the evening. Her energy is infectious—effortlessly guiding the flow of the event, connecting with people, and never missing a detail. If anything needed adjustment—a mix tweaked here, a lighting cue fine‑tuned there—Heaven was on it, swiftly and with a smile.
What resonated most with me was how the team’s approach centered around care and connection. It wasn’t scripted hospitality—it was heartfelt. Conversations with staff weren’t just “can I help you?” but “how’s your night going?” or “tell me about your experience so far.” It elevated the entire evening and warmed the room with a sense of community.
As an artist, performing is as much about emotional connection as musical connection, and Beacon RiNo offers the perfect stage for both. The atmosphere is intimate yet lively, the sound system solid, and the staff—led by Heaven—is attentive and passionate. If you’re looking for a venue that treats performers like family and audiences like beloved friends, Beacon RiNo is exactly that.
In short: Beacon RiNo is a gem in Denver’s art and music scene. Warm ambiance, stellar acoustics, and service that goes above and beyond. Heaven is the embodiment of what great venue leadership looks like—attentive, kind, intuitive, and genuinely artist- and guest-focused. I can’t wait to return—either to perform or to enjoy another memorable evening. Highly, highly...
Read moreWhile the decor in this place is nice, the staff is terrible as well as the services received. My fiancée and I attended last night for the first time, paid the $10 cover fee to get in and then another $3 per each coat check, to find the place was over crowded, and thus one could barely move around without stepping/bumping into someone. My fiancée wanted me to wait outside the women’s restroom with her and my drink. While waiting beside a couple of other male partners, I was browsing on my phone and was accosted by a female staff member who stated “I understand you’re waiting on someone in the bathroom, but you need to move away from the women’s restroom”. I was caught off guard by the comment as the staff member clearly knew I was waiting on someone using the restroom, there were other males standing directly beside me who weren’t advised to move, and so I could only assume I was singled out due to the fact that I’m a person of color. Suffice to say, I was quite upset by this interaction so my fiancée and I quickly left after this occurred and don’t plan on ever returning. This sort of discriminatory behavior isn’t something you’d expect to receive in an overwhelmingly liberal area like Denver. In fact, I never even received this type of negative treatment living in the South for several years. Definitely, don’t recommend this establishment to anyone. There are much cooler and kinder bars that treat their patrons more respectful, have $0 or at most $5 cover fees, and don’t create a fire hazard by allowing too many patrons inside in effort to maximize profits accrued...
Read moreThey still from you. I used to go every Friday during mixotica play. During dias de lo muortos, I went for a drink . I usually drink only 1 as I drive myself home. I paid for it and closed my tap. This date 29 October - Friday night - my friend join me and she got me a few drinks. I see they charge my credit card 75$! !!! The same night as I went to smoke a strange Mexican Dude stopped me and asked me 20$ to enter, I was stunned. I asked him since when it cost to get out to smoke. Either way he let me in, and while I was gathering my friends to leave I end up in the man restroom, where I did 2 step's- realized and I was walking out already at the door- when a Mexican gorilla was pushing me out!!! I asked him to get his hands off, as I was already leaving. This place changed the personal and this is not a safe place to be for girls. I personally wouldn't go there again. I send email with the charge screenshot asking why. They ignore me. I write review on Facebook - they reply asking for the information of my card - something I already provided. Nobody apologize for the not authorized charge. I filled a claim with my credit card. THIS IS NOT A SAFE PLACE TO GO. I DON'T RECOMMEND. I AM NOT going...
