I had high hopes for Da Sauce, but unfortunately, my experience left much to be desired. From the moment I walked in, it became clear that the restaurant’s standards were far below what one would expect.

First, the service was nothing short of absurd. Despite the restaurant being only moderately busy, the staff seemed disorganized and inattentive. It took an unusually long time just to place our order, and when we politely asked for updates on our food, we were met with indifference and a borderline rude response. The lack of professionalism was startling, and it created an unpleasant dining atmosphere.

But the worst part came when the pizza arrived. I was shocked to discover a curly hair baked into the cheese, an unacceptable and frankly disturbing oversight. Hygiene should be the baseline at any food establishment, and for this to happen is simply inexcusable. When we brought this to the attention of the staff, there was no apology or attempt to rectify the situation. Instead, we were met with a dismissive attitude, as though our concern was a mere inconvenience.

Needless to say, this ruined our meal, and we left without finishing. It’s clear that there are serious issues both in the kitchen and with the staff’s approach to customer service. I would strongly advise anyone considering dining at Da Sauce to look elsewhere. Between the unsanitary conditions and the lack of basic courtesy, this was one of the most disappointing dining experiences I have ever had.

Management needs to address these glaring problems immediately if they hope to regain the trust of...

Chicago thin-crust is hard to find in Denver, but this place gets it right. The crust is ultra-crisp, almost brittle, subtly charred so it holds up under the toppings without getting soggy. The sauce is bold but balanced—just a hint of sweetness, never overpowering. Cheese stretches edge to edge, melting perfectly into the toppings. And when it’s cut into small, shareable squares, you get that crisp snap, that well-rounded bite, that unmistakable taste of home for anyone who knows real Chicago thin-crust.

The sausage? Exactly what it should be. Chunky, well-seasoned, hand-pinched, with that fennel-forward flavor that separates the real thing from the pre-formed crumbles you find elsewhere. The pepperoni is thicker than the usual razor-thin slices, giving it a more substantial bite, a deeper, slightly smoky flavor, the edges crisping up just right.

And then there’s John. South Side guy. Knows his pizza, knows the spots, knows what he’s doing. He served us himself, took the time to talk, to share his story, to make the experience as good as the food. You watch them make it right in front of you. No secrets, no shortcuts—just the real thing.

Good music. Sports on TV. The place is buzzing. Cold beer, good friends, and some of the best Chicago thin-crust I’ve had in Colorado, easily. This one’s in the rotation. And if you love Chicago thin-crust, this is as close as you’re going to get anywhere in the Rocky...

Do not support this business!! Had the worst customer service experience when placing my pizza order. I asked for them to cook the jalapeños on the top of my pizza instead of under the cheese like they do and the man on the phone was so offended I asked for one step in the pizza making process to be switched. He asked me why I wanted it that way. Why does it even matter?? I’m asking for a SIMPLE modification on my pizza and giving you business? He said he would make a one time exception for me and then proceeded to be rude the rest of the call. When my boyfriend went to pickup the pizza they were talking about our order in a negative way and made him feel extremely uncomfortable while waiting for the pizza to be ready. I’ve never had someone treat me so terribly when I am supporting their business and they aren’t busy enough to be acting like they are a Michelin star restaurant. I hope this business fails simply on how awful the experience was and customer service was non existent. This was my third time ordering from here so they’ve lost a loyal customer. If you place an order and need any modifications be prepared to be met with the worst attitude from the person you’re ordering from. Good luck staying in business when you’re self-destructing...

My group and I randomly walked by this restaurant for a late dinner right after landing in Denver. What drew us in was the Happy Hour & Anniversary deals, and the fact that it was Chicago food (one of our favorite cities!) We walked in around 10pm and it was right after their dinner rush and right before the bar hoppers who wanted a late night snack that came in, so it was quite empty. We didn't expect much, but boy were we surprised! All the food was 10/10 and the service by the owner's wife, Jandee was 10000/10! We ordered Da South Sider pizza, a classic Chicago Dawg, and an Italian Beef. Everything was delicious and the pizza was definitely our favorite. You can definitely tell the food was made with love and came from Chicago. Jandee, the owner's wife and who ran the floor that night, made the most amazing cocktails (that were only $5 each with their special!) She was the absolute best host and even made up a new drink with our group (ask for a Ram bomb if you ever stop by!) We also learned that they do catering and allow events to be hosted there, if anyone is interested in that. Overall a 10/10 experience and will be stopping by again the next time we visit Denver ♡

I took a date here for a first time date for Chicago style pizza. I must say. I was highly impressed. We arrived on a sleepy Wednesday night. There were only a couple people around and we were seated quickly. The aroma of the pizza let us know we were in for a treat. We were greeted with a quick overview of the places brief history and that the owner was actually from Chicago. That further let us know it was going to be amazing. The owner (John)came to our table and introduced hisself. He was extremely cool and let us know that he was churning ice cream upstairs and offered us a sample. We had the red velvet cheesecake and it was AMAZING!! The pizza was as good as expected. Will definitely be back to this spot very soon. I will want to explore all the nights where things are going on. Fun Fact: I believe its open at 2 on weekends. The staff are extremely pleasant. Specifically Chelsea. She was awesome. Update: Went a second time and met wife Jandy. She is just as cool as Jon. This spot will be good for a LONG time
