Einstein Bros. Bagels — Restaurant in Denver

Not much of an update. They haven't changed at all. Don't order any of their sandwiches. Their employees have no idea what goes on them. To the management of this establishment, you suck. You are the reason your staff don't know what is supposed to go on your sandwiches. The Green Chili Club has bacon! BACON! Every time I get this sandwich I have to take the sandwich apart because the bacon isn't there and have to get it fixed. FFS, train your employees! I only get food from you because you are two blocks from my home and the only place open at 6am.

The bagels and bagel sandwiches are good. However the employees here seem really lazy. Don't expect them to slice your bagels or even ask if you want them sliced, because they won't bother. They've messed up my sandwiches before leaving items off like bacon. Also, they don't make enough of their signature bagels. Have gone in there multiple times and they are completely out a particular bagel a couple hours after they open. Like, make more bagels. What's it going to cost you to have too many bagels? 10 cents each? I've walked out without buying anything because they didn't have what I wanted. Also, they got rid of their awesome tea dispensers. Now all they have to drink are bottled drinks, soft drinks, and coffee. Whatever. They could do a better job here....

I normally come here once a week.

The service is always incredibly slow, but I deal with it because I like the breakfast sandwiches.

Knowing how slow they are, I usually call and order ahead and have no problems.

This time I called, and an individual named Mike picked up the phone. I told him I'd like to make an order for pickup. He then said that they're slammed, and that he wouldn't be able to take my order for another 10-15 minutes at least. I then asked him why he bothered to pick up the phone? He then said something about a manager, set the phone down on the counter, and kept helping people in the store (which I could overhear).

Normally, I would've just hung up at that point but I waited another minute or two, and lo and behold a manager picked up the phone, John.

I told John what had just happened, not really expecting anything, and he just said "Yeah well we're slammed."

He then rudely asked if he could take my order now,...

Stopped going here for a long time because they never make their sandwiches correctly. I have never been to this location where they haven't left an item off my sandwich. Not one time has it been correct. To make matters worse, some of the employees are condescending. They left out knives to use with my bagel order, checked the utensil counter, not there. Asked an employee for knives and he went over to the same utensil counter like I had overlooked them, but no, not there. He went back behind the kitchen to get knives, and then a manager gave them to me while proceeding to tell me there were knives already in the bag as though it was the time I ordered bagels in my life. Yeah, thanks. I checked my bag. They weren't included. I have common sense.

Oh....and I wonder what happened to my previous review that mentioned similar...
