Really, really good!! I was getting my cell phone fixed across the street and had 45 minutes to kill and was hungry, and my favorite pizza place was no longer in business, so I ran in here to give them a try. Has a bit of a sparse, fast food feel to it, so I wasn’t sure, but the staff was really nice and told me everything was made fresh and from scratch so I took a chance. I ordered the BBQ mix and the Chicken Katsu. She warned me that I ordered a lot of food, but I was hungry and didn’t think the portions would be as big as they were for $13!! The second I picked up my food and felt the weight I knew that one or the other would have been enough LOL. WOW it was absolutely delicious!! The BBQ chicken was juicy, and the beef was perfect. There was a lot of meat too. Tasted really fresh, and that sweet barbecue sauce hit just right!! Hawaiian BBQ has that certain something going on that I recognize from being in Hawaii and from the countless meals I ate at the Hawaiian Beach Hut in Manhattan Beach that was run by a surfer from Maui. It’s a unique flavor that brings me back, and this place nailed it. I was stuffed and had a 2 scoops of rice, 2 scoops of macaroni salad, and a few pieces of the katsu left that I gave to a homeless family I noticed when I parked my car. I’m sure they loved it too!! Writing this review made me hungry for it…going there now and getting the breakfast sandwich with egg, Portuguese sausage, and gravy!! YUM thanks for the very nice...
Read moreI went to this restaurant, unaware that it was a franchise of the one in Aurora. We sat down to eat. The food was not good at all. It was not the same as the aurora location. I immediately returned my food as a refund was told that only the managers are able to give refunds and the managers are the only one with the refund code, they contacted the manager. She was supposed to call me back. I never received a call back after two months. I called back again to check if they had forgot about me. I was told that they didn’t remember pretty much. There was nothing they could do unless I wanted more food , I told him I wanted my refund was transferred to Owner. The owner stated that I was given a refund the same day. I told her that was not true. I left my food and did not get a refund. Could she check her cameras? I pretty much told that I was a liar and that her employee state gave a refund. I asked her because she checked her cameras to see that I was not giving a refund. It was for $28 and some change plus tax, if you want to know that this is a franchise not a Hawaiian owned franchise and the food is not good to aurora where there are real Hawaiian owners this location is trash And beat people out...
Read moreI've been going to L&L IN CA almost as long as I can remember.....so when I drove down 6th Ave today and saw the sign I got very excited! I got home, checked if they were open yet and decided to go for dinner that night! Turned out they had only been open for 5 days so far!
We ordered 2 combos, 1 with chicken katsu and moko loco, and the other with chicken katsu and khaula pork....everything tasted really delicious and WOW, for the price there is a TON of food!
We also got 2 different musubi....a span and a Portuguese sausage....these were good as well, but I did have 1 complaint, which I even mentioned to someone who ended up being one of the owners. My complaint was the musubi just had too much rice...
Besides being real delicious food, the prices are great! There aren't many places anymore where you can get a plate of food (piping hot and FRESH!) for 14 bucks and still have leftovers!
Congratulations to Edith and crew on your opening, and THANK YOU for bringing L&L Hawaiuan BBQ so...
