Chipotle as a whole has been good to me since my celiac diagnosis with your restaurants providing a quick place for lunch, though my experience here today was very bad. Let me start here by explaining that the one thing I can not eat in your restaurants, not even a little bit, are the wheat flour tortillas. Generally your restaurants accommodate me in this way. Explaining my condition and what this means to the young lady at the counter, she offered to wash her hands and change her gloves, though she was only wearing one to begin with. Immediately upon collecting two new gloves she placed them directly on the stack of flour tortillas. I explained to her that the flour tortillas on the counter are in fact the wheat flour tortillas I was talking about and are the only thing I am allergic to in the restaurant, and the simple act of using them to rest her gloves and hands on collects enough particles to cause a severe reaction for me, so I asked her to please get new gloves. She appeared annoyed but did so, only to turn around and do the exact same thing again. I asked again, and this time she put one on in the air then Immediately placed the other on the tortilla. At this point I realized I would get no other result so I went elsewhere for my lunch. This brings me to my complaint, and I guess it is in two parts. First, if your company has a policy to cater to those with allergies which can be avoided in your shops, please not only train your employees how to listen to what needs to be avoided, but also that we who suffer such conditions do not do so by choice. We do not choose to do this to inconvenience them or cause them any trouble, and by deciding to patron your shops we are spending our money there just like everyone other customer in hopes of a good meal. I have been chased out of restaurants by managers taking offense to me asking if the food is safe for me to eat. Saying this I want you to know that I do not ask these things to upset anyone, only to make sure I can eat there. If your employees are not willing to accommodate a customers food allergy, please simply state it and I'll go someplace else. In general, anyone who suffers as I do knows that expecting such a change is not always possible, but it's critical to ask if we are to eat safely in an establishment. It is not a choice for us this need to ask this every time we eat out, it is a necessity. As for the second part, and I have seen this behavior in most Chipotle restaurants I have been in and it leads to such habits that created this problem today. How is it sanitary to keep the tortillas there as a resting place for your employees hands or anything else? You do not do it with the meat, the cheese, the salsas or anything else and regardless of my allergy how is this practice acceptable to use any food as a surface in...
Read moreFor those that read reviews, I was absolutely floored at the insensitivity of the employees that work at this Chipotle. I need to say that I made attempts to call this restaurant to speak to a manager but that isn't possible on their end. I did notify Corporate. Our daughter went in to order lunch on 9/22/25. This Chipotle is right next door to the only Trauma One hospital in Denver, Denver Health. She works there. She is undergoing chemo treatments for a deadly form of breast cancer. As can be expected, she lost all her hair. On going in to the restaurant, a male young employee called her "sir." She corrected him and then he commented to a female employee that he just called her a "sir." The female employee responded "If she didn't shave her hair off, this would not be an issue!" She was horrified at the treatment, and as a mother I am beyond words for the lack of sensitivity. Probably thought she was gay, which she is not, but this is how the employees absolutely don't care about their place of employment. I am hoping a manager will reach out to corporate and get contact information and answer any questions. I am not optimistic that this establishment...
Read moreMeghan M. and staff are phenomenal! I had a situation where I put in a large catering order, a week in advance. The day I was to pick up the order, I noticed it said 12:45 pm when it was supposed to be picked up at 11:45 am. I contacted the 3rd party company that processes the catering orders and they admitted it was their mistake, and they we're very sorry but there was nothing they could do from their end.
I showed up at Chipotle at 11:20 am and informed Meghan of the mistake the 3rd party company made. Meghan and her team whipped the entire order together in 20 minutes, all while still serving the beginning of the lunch rush! I was able to deliver my lunch presentation to 20 executive heads and vice presidents of an international company I was presenting for. Thank you Meghan and your team! I would have been disastrous without you!
Of course I returned after the presentation to personally thank Meghan for her team and she in on the food line helping to serve right beside her staff. That is the mark of a true leader! Leaders lead from the front. Thanks again, and the food was...
