The Front Porch — Restaurant in Denver

Went in with some friends Saturday night and my friend’s name was on the calendar for free drinks. Later we were getting ready to leave, she went to get two more drinks before we left. The bartender (don’t know his name but he was wearing a red T-shirt that night) told her that just because she was drinking for free doesn’t mean she shouldn’t tip. We always tip when we go out, I was in the service industry for years so I know how it is. She tipped him and came back to the table. Her boyfriend took one sip of her beer and the bartender came over and told her she had to pay for it. He was so rude and got in the face so she told him to take it out of his tip and he said it doesn’t work that way. So he wanted to be a jerk but keep his tip. So she gave him her card and he brought it back, as she was signing the receipt he stood over her shoulder watching her so I told him to back off and leave us alone. He got in my face and started a yelling match and then had us kicked out. That bartender was extremely disrespectful and disgusting. Horrible place ! I went last night with a group of my friends I was only in the bar for a good 45 minutes security trys to kick me out for no reason saying they had complaints from two guys about me and me and my friends were confused cause the whole time we been there everything has been fine !!! Later as we are getting ready to leave the bar a security guard grabbed me up to kick me out had me outside on the ground with my breast out my friend goes to pick me up and the security guard punched a FEMALE in the face and ran back inside ! We came in for flip night and it's still the same, good ol' front porch I remember. The vibe is modern with good music, but not so loud that you can't talk. The bar tenders were friendly and helped us quickly. On any other night, make sure to check the calendar on their website, if your name is on it you drink on that night for free! On flip night, you flip a coin and if you call it correctly your drinks are $.50.

Unfortunately I landed on the wrong side of the flips tonight, and drinks are not cheap! $12 for a gin and soda was a little surprising, especially since the drink was mostly ice and light on the gin. If you're in the area, it's a decent...
