Wonderyard is the kind of place you walk into once and instantly realize it is going to become a regular weekend ritual. I came in for brunch with zero expectations and I left genuinely excited to come back. The atmosphere alone deserves a standing ovation. It feels like stepping into a little day party dream in the heart of Denver. Bright colors, whimsical lighting, greenery that makes you wonder how this place stays so stylish all the time, and a layout that feels like you are both at a social hotspot and a chill brunch retreat.
The hospitality here is what made my very first experience unforgettable. Michael, the General Manager, took customer service to another level. I have rarely seen a manager so hands on with guests, so sincere, and so focused on making sure people are having the best time possible. He checked in on me, made great menu recommendations, and created such a positive feel. He truly set the tone from the moment I walked in. V, my server, was equally impressive. Warm, attentive, thoughtful, and on top of everything. She made sure I had everything I wanted before I even realized I needed it. Both of them together created one of the best service experiences I have had in Denver. They are the reason I will be telling everyone about this place.
Let’s talk food because it was delicious. I ordered the brunch platter which felt like a fun, shareable little celebration of everything you crave on a weekend. Every item was fresh and flavorful with that perfect balance of indulgent and comforting. The star of the show for me was the French toast sandwich with pepper jam. That pepper jam hits you with the perfect sweet meets subtle kick, sandwiched between fluffy French toast that tastes like it came straight out of someone’s home kitchen where love is a major ingredient. It is one of those dishes that makes you pause for a second, smile, and take another bite just to confirm it is as good as you think it is. I also ordered coffee with almond milk and even that tasted noticeably well curated. Strong, smooth, and rich enough to give you that weekend boost.
There is a playful energy here that just puts you in a good mood. Music that uplifts the experience without overpowering conversation. People laughing and enjoying themselves without it ever feeling chaotic. It is the rare kind of brunch spot that nails both the party vibe and the comfort vibe simultaneously. I had such a genuinely great time that walking out almost felt disappointing because I was not ready to leave.
Bottom line. Wonderyard is a must visit. If every experience is like my first, you cannot possibly leave disappointed. Michael and V gave me exceptional service that deserves recognition and praise. The food hit every craving. The environment feels like a mini escape. I am already planning my next trip back because I want a repeat of the energy, the flavors, and the fun. Five stars without hesitation. Wonderyard is officially one of my favorite brunch...

Where do I start?
My friend reserved a table for 10 people. We were initially given a table for 10 people, but then they changed their minds when we started to sit down. They gave us a table for 6 people with a chair on the end. One of us went to explain when 10 of us couldn’t fit at the 6 person table. They then gave us the original table we had for 10 people. My friend’s water cup came with a lipstick stain on it as if someone had just drank out of it. It was taken care of. We all ordered cocktails and they came out fine and tasted great. When we began to order food we all started to order the flatbreads they advertise to which the waitress told us their pizza oven was broken. No big deal, things like this happen. We all found a second choice to order and she took our orders. Fifteen minutes later she returned and told us they were out of all of these items. We all then found a third option to order. And she later returned with some of the items also being out of stock. Not our waitress’s fault. We found a fourth item to order. We decide to forget about it. However, our waitress did forget to take two of our orders and ran off before we could tell her. She was no where to be found except when we saw another server giving her drinks out of a straw at the bar. When one of our party members went to tell her she skipped two of us which she then gave a rude response back. When she returned to the table to take the skipped orders she was less pleasant. I believe she tried to make the moment right through the rest of the night but the bad taste was already in our mouths.
The food was good but we all got our food at different times. Not that big of deal, except one of our members didn’t get her food until we were all done eating. They comped her meal thankfully. We decided it was time to leave after that and asked for our checks. We go over our bills and everything is fine. When they return with our receipts we discover they tacked on a 2% processing fee that was not disclosed in the initial bill. I can understand the fee but at least either disclose it or add it into your initial prices. When we asked about what the charge was for a staff member rudely explained. Again, we understood the concept but were confused about the initiation.
We never asked for a manger or anything but a few moments later a manager appeared trying to explain why the charge wasn’t on the bill. Again, we understood, but were a little shocked but the unsolicited aggressiveness. I understand that things can happen in a restaurant but it was the fact that it was one thing on top of another and no staff member seemed to care. As someone that works in hospitality it was an unpleasant experience.
I normally give restaurants a second chance, but in this instance, I will not...
Read moreI celebrated my birthday at Wonderyard Garden, and while the evening started off with a few disappointments, it ended up being absolutely magical, all thanks to Victoria, our incredible server.
When I made the reservation two weeks in advance, I noted that I was hoping for a table (the Birdcage). I understand they don’t guarantee specific seating areas, and that’s totally fair, but I was still hopeful, as that was the space I had seen in so many beautiful photos on social media. Unfortunately, when we arrived, that area wasn’t available. We had to wait for another table that didn’t have the lights I had imagined… and the pink “Love Begins in Wonder” sign wasn’t working either. Even the carousel horses, which were one of the main reasons I chose this place, weren’t there. It was disheartening, especially since I wanted to take beautiful photos and videos to remember the night.
To make things more frustrating, I was told several times that a table couldn’t fit 8 people, but I had already seen a photo of a group of 8 seated comfortably at that exact table. As you can see in the photo of my group, we all fit perfectly, and there was even extra space.
But then Victoria showed up, and everything changed.
With the warmest smile and the kindest energy, she took it upon herself to make sure my birthday turned out just as special as I had dreamed. Despite several “no’s” from the host and others, she went above and beyond to help us find a lovely table, make the space feel festive, and bring back that sense of joy and celebration I was hoping for.
By the way, the pizzas and other appetizers were absolutely delicious! The cocktails were a bit too sweet for my personal taste, but overall, the place is definitely worth visiting.
Thanks to Victoria, my birthday wasn’t just saved, it became unforgettable. Her attention, grace, and genuine care turned what could have been a disappointing night into a truly beautiful memory.
If you’re lucky enough to have Victoria as your server, you’re in amazing hands. Thank you, Victoria, from the bottom of my heart. You...
