I’ve visited this place 3 times and I must say the experience is indifferent each time. The first time, I was greeted as if they were surprised to see a minority in the place. Very dry, unwelcoming, definitely unfriendly. Nonetheless it’s close to my job so I revisited. The ladies, well ONE LADY was a little friendlier than their male counterparts in the mornings. The breakfast croissants are amazing!!! But the sandwiches are thrown together with egg and meat falling off the sandwich as soon as it’s passed to the customer. Today on my 3rd visit, I ordered a sandwich and again the egg and peppers were halfway off the sandwich before I even took it out of its wrapper. The bread is super thick with hardly any of their special aoli sauce. I don’t think I’ll be revisiting again but much success to the owners and employees.
Update: I took this sandwich back and asked for a different sandwich on croissant. The lady THREW my sandwich on the counter as if I interrupted her during a lunch rush. I definitely will...
Read moreThe first time I went it wasn't HORRIBLE- the latte tasted wrong to me but I figured that it was just a me-issue. However, the second time I go to give it another shot and I about left the shop crying. I ordered a large matcha green tea latte with almond milk and a bagel. They tried giving me a chai tea latte. They were happy to remake it. However the bagel that I asked to be toasted was barely warm. Furthermore, they either messed up my order further by giving me a smaller size or their larges are the equivalent to a Starbuck's tall/small, with the price of a Starbuck's grande/medium. Complain all you want about Starbucks but between the two I would choose Starbucks every time. Which if your on Wayne State campus and are looking to get a coffee, look further. The book store is right down the street and another Starbucks in the Student Center not far away. I wish I could recommend a great small shop place to get your coffee. I have not been fortunate enough to...
Read moreMy previous review unfortunately has to change. They did basically a dollar or two price hike across the entire menu taking your basic run in the mill latte 5.75 which is absolutely ridiculous. There are places that have way better espresso, and use high-end milk such as Guernsey that don’t even charge this price for their lattes. I could understand this logic if we seen prices going up like this across the board of coffee shops, but this seems to be motivated only for profit, especially considering that the owner opened up a new restaurant around the corner. I’m only speculating, but maybe certain costs and opening that restaurant or passed down to the coffee shop. And this is particularly disappointing considering their right beside a...
