Anita's Kitchen - Detroit — Restaurant in Detroit

I am a regular visitor to this restaurant and I am quite disappointed in the most recent visit I had when picking up carry out. I had ordered online and I had walked about 15 to 20 minutes to the restaurant to pick up my order which included an order for coworkers. When I got back to the office, the coworkers order was wrong even though the order on the receipt said the right thing. I proceeded to call the establishment and talk to the manager to let them know what happened. their resolution was to for me to come and pick up another sandwich, which would take another 30 to 40 minutes or refund the sandwich. I did not feel that that was enough in terms of making the situation right they could have offered to reimburse the whole entrée versus just a sandwich, especially if I was going to come back. This would’ve taken another 30 to 40 minutes of my workday to come down and get a sandwich. I asked them if there’s anything else they could do such as a courtesy meal the time I came in. the manager said they could not do that which IMO is poor customer service given they truly screwed up the order. Great place for lunch if you work downtown.

•Atmosphere• This restaurant is very clean, has good seating options and really has a great downtown vibe. Easy to access and has a great location right by the people mover.

•Service• They have fantastic service. They are friendly , professional, and helpful but best of all they are accurate in making sure that their orders come out correct and with the proper utensils needed to enjoy your meal. Love their online ordering option!

•Food• Their food comes out hot and fresh and is a decent portion for the price! No complaints here, I really enjoy their Shawarma.

Pretty mad at this establishment. I have been going to Anitas for a long time and what they are doing now is a blatant money grab. How does a product (The Loaded Fries) go up 50% over night. Is there a potato shortage? I used to come here everyday and my response to the price change has been a little delayed because of my disbelief. I would come in everyday for lunch and get one order of the loaded french fries and be greeted by name, and because of my loyalty and me spreading the word of this amazing dish I am stabbed in the back.
