Had a good time, they had two servers running the place on a night with events going on downtown Detroit. So, we waited for some things unfortunately. Food was ok, the mac and cheese bites have noodles inside that was way too done so they were kind of just like cheese bites at that point. The chicken BLT sandwich was delicious though. Not sure where the grilled pretzel was though, was just a regular hamburger bun. French fries were awesome. Bathrooms were a bit nasty as you can see in the photo, probably because nobody is there to clean them I think three people were running the entire place. Might want to put a sign by the door that says seat yourself, instead of yelling at everybody that walks in to find a seat wherever.. Simple one page menu. Prices, well, like a lot of places lately they're up there. $35 for an app. drink and a sandwich. Put the tip in there and it's over $40. Probably won't be back, was just easy cuz our parking spot was right there.

god awful tonight. one lady running around waiting on 7 tables while one lady stood at the bar playing on her phone watching the one girl run around waiting on everyone while the bar tender stood there flinging a rag around. oh and the kitchen was slower than molasses in january! one hour for a quesadilla and pretzels. great establishment with potential but ran like garbage. get it together owner. if ya need some management give a shout 😜 oh and when we asked for the manager…he was a joke too… applaud the one chick helping us out that night and you know who you are!

My wife and I ordered the JUMBO WINGS and a burger before going to see Matt Rife at the Filmore. The burger was good, only American cheese as an option. The wings on the other hand NOT JUMBO. Asked the waiter about the JUMBO WINGS as described on the menu, his response was the same as mine but, offered to speak with the manager who gave us %20 off. I’ve had better food from Champions in Browntown. If you go to Bookies don’t expect JUMBO WINGS as stated on the menu. The service from Will was very good. The manager should’ve taken more responsibility. -5 for her.

Went here for my first time yesterday before the Detroit rolling pub picked my group up. I was greeted very rudely by the hostess (dark skinned African American woman with an hat and a crop top with a belly button ring) and rushed as I was finishing my phone call. I walked in and called someone from my group to see when they would arrive so I could grab us a table! I wasn’t even at the counter on my phone because I feel that’s rude but I was approached very rudely by the door and then rushed to get a table when there was literally only one other table there eating when I walked in. After we sat down, another large group walks in. I witness the same rude hostess rudely greeting the group and rudely telling them to leave their coolers outside the door! I even watched one lady from the group tell her friend how rude the hostess was. So this now told me, it was not me or the other lady patron, that this is a personality trait within the hostess herself! Thank god the waitress that came to our table was not this woman because I’ll tell you right now her tip would have IMMEDIATELY dropped down to 10% for the attitude. That also brings me to my next issue with the coolers. I understand how Law works, and I understand it is a law to not bring alcohol into a bar. However, this place being the meeting spot for the Detroit rolling pub, I feel that should have been clearly stated in the communications from the rolling pub and clearly communicated outside of bookies. Having the ghetto security guard yelling at people and telling them he will watch their things as I literally watch him holding a conversation in the restaurant not paying attention to anything outside is insane to me, especially when it was never communicated through the Detroit rolling pub communications. But anyways, I probably would go back because the food was great and give it one more shot, but they definitely need to reconsider who they hire as a hostess. Her job is solely to greet people, and she failed miserably at that. I also hope she never wants to become a waitress there one day because she will literally leave with nothing at the end of the night with that attitude. Find staff that cares to be a nice person at the...

Are you sure I cannot give 0 stars for such a poor restaurant experience?

I worked in the food industry for 7 years, FOH and BOH, and have never seen a more poorly managed establishment, or received such poor service in response.

First, my table was ignored for at least 15 minutes after sitting down, AFTER having reached out to a passing waitress around minute 8, and having to do so again 7 lonely minutes later. Our server was apologetic, and I don't blame her, since I saw the way Matt, the manager spoke to her, and refused to help either her or the angry customers.

I eventually ordered the Twisted Chicken sandwich, and after a leisurely 40 minute wait, received it without bacon or avocado. No worries, I'm starving, I'll dig in! WRONG! Raw chicken. Still crunchy with ice crystals in the middle it was so frozen. Almost threw it up!

Chicken is sent back, and after asking for a manager, Matt proceeded to let me know he "didn't care" if I had a bad experience or wrote a bad review, and that "its been a bad week anyway, your review couldn't hurt us more." Well, here goes anyway. My one star review, and hopes that this place gets new management, ownership, or...

Drove from Ohio to see concert at the Filmore. Researched places to eat, this place looked great and food sounded good. Decent reviews online. Walked from Filmore to establishment. Walked in. People were seated, there was a large group, several couples but place was basically empty. Was looked at by waitstaff but no greeting, no sign of whether we seat ourself or wait to be seated. After a min, we sat in a booth towards the bathrooms. No one came to greet us, no menus, no service. We waited another 10 min. Bartender started walking towards us (were we sitting in wrong area for service? Who knew?) then turned around before reaching us, walked back to bar. Servers again made eye contact, no service. Another couple walked in and sat with already seated customers who were being served food. Server greeted them, got them drinks and asked if they wanted food. We still had no service. My son asked how much longer we were going to wait. We waited another 5 min, then walked out. It's too bad, the place was really beautiful, we just wish the service was just as beautiful but we...
