RenCen is fantastic. I’m focusing on the RenCen and not the hotel inside. We went on the Friday of Memorial Day weekend and not many people were there. No surprise as not much was open. Only Burger King in the food court was open. Wasn’t a pleasant experience due to members of the janitorial staff being extremely loud. We always had so much fun here, and went at least 2 times a year. This was the first time we’ve been back in over a decade due to my wife’s illness. Everything was new to us. I’m not sure what the atrium portion along the river is called but it’s gorgeous. Seeing palm trees again was fantastic. Such a beautiful area now and many stores and restaurants. A lot of GM vehicles around the bottom level with a round a bout in the middle that changes to a fish tank, outside, etc every so often. There are unique vehicles in history that go around this area. Everything looked clean and well kept up as well as new furniture and so much more on each level. If you’re a photographer, love cars or just want to spend the day doing something different, definitely give the RenCen a try.

I did not enjoy this Marriott location!!! The hotel charged is incidentals charges upfront and the lamp in the time were glued to the tables!!! The room were barely cleaned and the beds was delapdated!!! The heating was terrible... My friend was moved into another room because of the same issue!! Room 4417 is terrible!!! Not to mention we paid $27 per day during the week and $12 per day on weekends!!! You couldn't get to the valet area to drop off your luggage before parking your vehicle! The restaurant was in the hotel lobby was serving food the was undercooked wing dings were nasty!!! Our food was suppose to be ready in 15 minutes it took like more than a half hour!!! I don't plan on going back!!!

As a traveler, there are always a few "necessary" places, and to know where the GN Renaissance center is, definitely make your life easier, as this is a one-stop-shop for all the need to have's: from a tailor, cellphone recharge (AT&T) to CVS (Drug store) There are also a variety of restaurants. From affordable healthy foods to oily takeaways and a few very nice high-end...
