Today for lunch, I decided to check out Uncle Joe's chicken fingers in the Wayne state area. I ordered the chicken and shrimp combo and a chicken sandwich. As I entered the restaurant, I was immediately greeted by the cashier, which was a big plus 4 me. My meal included three chicken fingers, five butterfly shrimp, French fries, coleslaw, and a drink. The chicken fingers were fried well with light breading. The butterfly shrimp were OK, but the same thing you can buy from your grocer's frozen section. The Texas toast was good bread but wasn't grilled long enough for me, which left it kind of chewy. The coleslaw had a nice tang to it, which was good, but it had too much of a mayo taste and lacked flavor. French fries were battered but lacked flavor, and maybe they should have been hit with the dusting of salt after the fryer. For sauces, I chose Uncle Joe's Signature sauce ranch and cocktail sauce. Uncle Joe's sauce was good but very peppery, so if you are not a fan of black pepper like I am, then it could be a bit overbearing. The ranch had a nice tangy zest, not too bad, and the cocktail sauce was good. The chicken sandwich had a nice brioche bun, but I was a little disappointed to find that it wasn't a breast filet but was chicken the sandwich. But the sandwich was good, and it also had Uncle Joe's signature sauce on it. Next time I will order it without the sauce, but I will prefer to have maybe Mayo in a couple of pickles to top it off. Definitely, a good spot for a nice quick meal, and even for a fried option, it wasn't all that...

I love condiments and wanted to try all the sauces. I got 3 chicken tenders, 6 shrimp, and every sauce.

From left to right: Mango habanero was too spicy for me 🥵 Honey mustard was ok, I didn't taste much flavor tho Buffalo was yummy, especially alternating with Ranch BBQ was also good, a bit thicker than the other sauces (it's regular bbq sauce, not sweet) Ranch was delicious (you can see I ate it all and accidentally mixed some BBQ in there) Uncle Joe's sauce was ok, also pretty mild flavor Cocktail sauce (rear) for the shrimp was good, pretty standard

Final verdict: Next time I'll get Ranch x2, BBQ, and Buffalo. And Cocktail sauce for the shrimp. Both the chicken and the shrimp were delicious with buffalo+ranch.

The fan inside was really loud; the staff were very...

Rider didn't show up at Wayne State but it gave me time to look around. At 1:30 I was more than a bit peckish so I parked and headed to Uncle Joe's. Stupid parking machines wouldn't take my quarters despite giving the option so I had to put a $1 parking charge on a card. Jeez. Not the restaurant's fault, Detroit's machine. Ordered a chicken sandwich combo with both Joe's sauce & the mango-habanero. Delicious sandwich. 3 big fingers with the right amount of sauce so there was no mess. 😊 Really good fries! Tasty enough to eat without ketchup even. That's rare. Love the old-school Marvel wallpaper in the loo. One complaint: the music is good but way too loud. In fact, ambient noise level is too high, need some sound-absorbing...
