We came here last night excited about the idea of a wine bar with good food, but the experience was disappointing from the start. The staff seemed overwhelmed, and it took a while to get seated. That lack of attention continued throughout the eveningâit was nearly impossible to get anyone to come by.
We ordered drinks, some appetizers, and the tomato soupâthe only thing we enjoyed. One of the cocktails was so sour it was undrinkable. The bartender tried it herself, made the same face we did, and confirmed it was made incorrectly. We watched her talk to the other server about what she had put in it.
We also ordered bruschetta, which came with eight pieces. After a few bites, it was clear the entire tomato mix was extremely salty. When we finally got a serverâs attention, she tried it, agreed it was overly salty and the 'recipe was wrong', thanked us for the âfeedback,â and walked offâno apology, no replacement offered. We had to ask for a new one ourselves, as it seemed they expected us to just eat it anyway.
Despite all this, we stayed polite. The check was dropped off without a word, and only 50% was taken off the bruschettaâeven though it was inedible and the issue had been acknowledged. No manager ever came by to check on us or apologize.
Overall, it was a disorganized, frustrating experience that didnât justify the cost. A little accountability and basic customer service could have made a...
Read moreI donât usually write reviews but we were treated so poorly by the restaurant (not the waiter) on our recent visit that I needed to share. We arrived right when they opened at noon and were the only ones in the place. We ordered drinks and an appetizer first, and ordered a meal based on the waiterâs recommendations. I suppose it was a warning sign when the appetizer took a little while to get, but we didnât think anything of it. Forty five minutes later when our meals had not arrived I gave the waiter a look like whatâs going on? He went to the back and came out saying they had lost our order. Given that only 6-8 people had come in since we arrived, that was hard to believe. At that point we were in a time crunch, having sat there for an hour and 10 minutes. I told the waiter I didnât think we should have to pay. He did his best but was only able to comp us one drink. Really? He was very apologetic. Things happen, and I guess we were just unlucky but the restaurant needs to train their back of house team better and make it right when something like...
Read moreAbsolutely one of my favorite places for cheese fondue! Its a Gruyère & double-cream gouda accompanied by roasted vegetables,( carrots, potatoâs, garlic , cauliflower broccoli with fresh bread cubes, green apples) We added the tenderloin steak tips for $10 more My girls enjoy the sâmores table top fire It has Dandies marshmallows, honey graham crackers, hot fudge , and XOXO chocolates. Everything they serve is absolutely delicious. The fresh bread and red wine w/ berry infused butter & white wine w/ garlic infused butter is so good, I could just eat the butter off the spoon. We did get the soup du jour of the day. Itâs such a big bowl of soup that my husband and I split it. Weâve been visiting this establishment a little after they opened and the service is always excellent even when itâs really busy. Even if we stay in Breckenridge or Keystone we make sure to at least visit them once to have dinner after a day of skiing We werenât to crazy about the cake this time around but everything else...
