If I could rate this Popeyes location a -1 I would. I was in Douglasville visiting my son from Detroit and since the Popeyeâs locations at home are always so delicious I thought although this is a chain, but since itâs Down South surely it would be kicked up a notch. Was I ever so wrong! This had to be the absolute worst meal I have ever had. My sister started eating her food first and said it had no flavor. I ordered a two piece spicy all white with a sis of red beans and rice. I got a side of pasty red sauce with rice, no beans! I hadnât eaten since morning so I forced down the beans and the bland tasting wing. It tasted as if they mixed some type of no flavored hot spice in flour and coated the chicken. No salt no flavor no nothing! As you can see from the photo they had the nerve to put this blob of I donât know what in my bag and call It chicken. There was no way I was eating that as the wing was disgustingly. And this thing looked like it was bruised and probably had been sitting out and they dipped it in flour and cooked it again. You could see the layers of flour and nothing but grease! It looked like a meteorite that fell from Mars! If it hadnât been so late we would have definitely returned for a refund.    Read moreOrdered an eight piece chicken meal at the drive thru. Worst drive thru experience in my life! Paid for the chicken and was rudely told by the cashier to drive forward and they would bring my chicken to me. 15 minutes went by and someone came out and ask me if I was waiting for an eight piece! I said yes and ask what was taking so long. He walked away and said he didnât know. Now itâs been 20 minutes, so I went in the store to get my money back. Spoke with the manager who appeared to be leaving or going on break. Told her that I had waited over 20 minutes for my food and that I wanted my money back. Some guy in the back said my eight piece was on itâs way. There appeared to be a lot of chicken already sitting on their racks. ? I told him and the manager three times that I was done and needed my money back. Finally got the money from the manager after another five minutes went by. To top it off, as I was driving away my wife noticed I didnât get the right amount of money back. Was one dollar short. But thatâs okay. Maybe they can put the extra cash into a education fund to help management learn to count and teach their crew to be respectful.    Read moreWe went to get food at this location on 6/29/23, we order our food and waited in line for 25 minutes. While waiting we noticed about 6 or 7 other cars waiting for their food, about 10 more minutes passed and a young man comes out with a bag of food and brings it to one of vehicles with no sense of urgency dragging his feet walking with a extra slow pace. There seemed to be a mix-up with the orders and he headed back Inside and another 10 minutes passed and a young lady comes out with the exact same effort and energy as the previous young man and yet again seemed to bring out the wrong order. The customer at this point is infuriated since he had been waiting there what I can assume was at least 35 minutes. The customer walks in the store angry and after 2 minutes he walks out with I assume was the correct order. At this point we decided to pull out of the line since by this time we had been waiting for about 30 minutes with no food in sight and headed next door to KFC and within 5 minutes we had placed an order and had our food in hand. I think the issue is that during this time they are hiring a bunch of high-school kids that don't take their job seriously but with that being said I also think is a lack of training...
