I had two drinks, one alcoholic and one not; which was lemonade. I did not drink the lemonade and I only had about a sip left the of drink. I asked for a Togo cup for my lemonade, my waiters energy shifted when I asked for a cup and she clearified that it was for my lemonade. That alone made me assume that I was not allow to take my drink out with me. So, my waiter then brings me a Togo cup filled with lemonade. I drink the rest of my drink and since there was fruit left over, I decided to take the fruit with me, so I placed them in my Togo cup. A while later the manager comes to my table and starts a conversation completely disrespectful. She says “I saw you pour your drink in the Togo cup and I know because I saw you do it on the cameras.” Firstly im very confused because I did not pour anything into my cup. So I tell her I did not and that I have my fruit and that’s it. she continues to make me out to be a liar. The conversation goes on and she’s continuously being rude to me, and that this point I’m still trying to explain that I did not know. Then the conversation ends. As someone who has been in a manager position, I would have never spoken to a customer the way she spoke to me. After paying my bill I requested for her to come back so we could have a conversation. I told her how I did not feel that it was necessary for her to come at me hostile. Especially for something I did not know and that nobody informed me of. There is no sign that says it, and this is my first time buying a drink, how am I supposed to know? This time she was not rude and she tried to say that she was not trying to come at me hostile and explain that their policy is strict, but I do not care about how strict the policy is, this is about how you speak to people. She simply could have informed me of the policy and I would have followed it. I felt as though she only spoke to me this way because I am young and she thought she was putting me in my place. Even though the situation is over and I told her how I felt, it still does not still...
Read moreI used to come to Applebees all the time and usually would have one simple request that would never fail... the bacon cheeseburger... it would have that perfect sear, medium well, salt and pepper, pickles, onions and sliced lettuce and tomatoes, and ketchup with a side of fries... you just knew, when you bit into that sandwich, you were going to get all that flavor! The sandwich would be cut in half, and you knew Applebees 🍎 🍏 wasn’t going to be mess around because this was one of their classic specialties...
Yesterday, my wife and I decided to pull up to Applebees, when I chose to order their advertised whiskey bacon cheeseburger... my waitress was nice but you could tell it had been a long day (I don’t fault her for this, I understand the grind during quarantine). I placed my order, got my sandwich with my fries and cleared the way... let me tell you...the hamburger bun was soggy, Drowning helplessly in whiskey sauce (which wasn’t my favorite flavor)... the sandwich was flavorless at best, fries stale, and the hamburger beef seemed as though it was left out overnight after someone had ordered it and they decided to give it to me (no pun intended)... my wife ordered the bourbon seared shrimp and broccoli Alfredo (sounds like it should be delicious right!)... the food was lukewarm at best, I would not recommend the Alfredo sauce, and again, it seems as though her meal was left out also...
I know businesses are certainly taking tons of hits during this season, but did not feel as though we received the meal that we had our taste buds fixed for... in short, we felt cheated... but I digress... at the end of the night both of us ended up throwing almost all of the food away, felt stomach ache, and as of now, we are not huge fans of Applebees 🍎 🍏... Applebees really let us down...
Read moreI recently had the unfortunate experience of dining at Applebees and I must say, it was the worst experience I've ever had at this restaurant chain. From the moment we walked in, it was clear that this visit would not be a pleasant one.
Firstly, our server, Kayla D., was incredibly rude and unprofessional. She seemed disinterested in serving us and made us feel like an inconvenience. It was disappointing to receive such poor service, especially considering that Applebees is known for its friendly and attentive staff.
To make matters worse, our appetizers took a whopping 45 minutes to arrive at our table. This is completely unacceptable, especially for a restaurant that prides itself on quick service. We were left sitting there, hungry and frustrated, wondering what was taking so long.
However, I must admit that when our entrées finally did arrive, they were actually quite good. The food at Applebees has always been a highlight for me, and this visit was no exception. The flavors were delicious and the portions were generous. It's just a shame that the overall experience was marred by the poor service and lengthy wait time.
As someone who has always loved Applebees, this visit was a major disappointment. I have never encountered such rude service and excessive wait times at any of their locations before. It's disheartening to see a restaurant that I once held in high regard fall so short of my expectations.
Needless to say, my dining companions and I have decided that we will not be returning to this particular Applebees location. It's a shame to have to write off a restaurant that I have enjoyed in the past, but this experience has left a sour taste in my mouth. I hope that Applebees takes this feedback seriously and works to improve their service at this...
