I will admit first of all that the "spring break" vibe is not really my style, but there are a lot of reasons I was not impressed. I found this place on Google maps while I was in the area for a school conference. One of the friends I was with and I both have food allergies and Mexican is usually a safe bet for both of us. Senor Frog's was one of the only places near where we were staying that boasted Mexican food. I made a reservation through the restaurant's website because we were going out on a Saturday night. The reservation was very easy to make online and it was definitely a good idea. First the good things, the server was very nice and went above and beyond to make sure all of our food was safe from our various allergies. Now the downsides, the drinks were extremely watered down and expensive. I barely drink more than a small glass of wine these days without feeling a little tipsy, but even the two cocktails here did not give me a buzz. The food was eatable, but bland bland bland and also not cheap. One of my friends got the ribs and said they were so bad and tough she didn't even eat them. She took the order to go to give it to a homeless man she passed on the way to dinner. Even though we got there before it got very busy it also took about half an hour to get our food. There are no chips and salsa to snack on, which would be fine if the food came faster, but felt like forever with the long delay. The table they sat us at was also pretty small and they brought my fajitas out on a hot tray that took up most of the entire space. I had to scrape my food off onto a tiny plate and put the tray on an unused table so my friends had enough room for their food. I will give those of you some warnings that are not familiar with this chain ... it is basically spring break in a restaurant. There was karaoke and the music was deafeningly loud. The restaurant touts itself as a family friendly environment, and I saw lots of kids there .At one point the staff offered tequila shots to the tables that shouted the loudest. The servers walked around with a bottle of something pink (I'm guessing tequila mixed with a fruit juice) and would pour it into the mouths of guests waiving their napkins and screaming. Pouring the same bottle directly into people's mouths and wiping people's faces with the same napkin ... yes it grossed me out.

I am sooooo DISAPPOINTED with this experience! This is my first time in Orlando, FL, my first time eating at Senor Frog's, and was not a good experience. We first walked in and there was a wait, which is ok. The hostess was kind of nonchalant. After about 10 minutes we were seated. Our server's name was Kelvin. I was trying to ask him questions about the menu, and he could not understand what I was asking. I felt the disconnect there. The majority of them do not understand English well, so it was difficult talking to them asking about the menu. I tried to ask him what was good. Then, we placed our order and the guy delivering the food obviously did not want to be at work. He had dark, neck length, curly hair, with a red cap and glasses. He kept delivering food to the wrong table. I overheard the ladies at the table trying to tell passing servers that they delivered the nachos to the wrong table. Our server finally came back and took the nachos off their table and tried to put them on our table. I said no, I don't want that and they were on their table. I want some fresh nachos. I cannot believe he was going to put food on our table that had been sitting on another person's table over five minutes. He hasn't been trained not to do that? Then we watched the man deliver food to the wrong table at least 6 times. Every time he brought food out, he took it to the wrong table and they told him it wasn't theirs. The food was good, except my mom's macaroni burger. My mom did not like the burger. It did not have a taste to it. The food is extremely expensive and overpriced. The burger was $17 and the burrito was $16.50. The server, Kelvin, did not check on us at all. He communicated and checked on the four Caucasian women that fussed at him about not putting those nachos on our table. But he did not check on us. He acted as if he did not want to even talk to us. It is so sad the discrimination and prejudice that continues to take place in this country. It's even sadder that it's Hispanics discriminating against African Americans. I did not want to give a tip at all. He did not deserve a small tip. But my mom gave him $2. He did not say thank you or nothing. Extremely bad service. Do not support this extremely expensive business.

4 of us made a booking for senor frogs, whilst holidaying in Orlando. It was recommended to us, however when we arrived, the place was, I can only describe as rocking. It was jam packed, and we could barely hear the girl who was dealing with our reservation. Before we were shown to our table, we were scanned, our bag searched and then a wrist band put on us all. Our table was right beside the doors to terrace and was extremely noisy. There was some sort of party going on, we heard the place was full of cheerleaders, who were due to leave the next day. As this restaurant is advertised as Mexican, we were looking forward to chilli con carne, or burrito, but the menu was disappointing. We ended up ordering the bbq chicken which came with wedges and a piece of corn. It was smothered in bbq sauce, way too much, all on the wedges too. My friend ordered the same but she got two chicken legs whereas I got one chicken breast and one thigh. She requested the waiter to change thus, which he did, but it took a little time, and we were almost finished when it arrived. There was a balloon guy going around, offering to make all sorts of balloon head wear. It was a bit like a kids party, but after he made us all wear silly balloon hats, he hung around for a tip. All of this you're trying to eat. My husband ordered a beer and the waiter was quick to offer the extra big long glass. We were shocked to see on the bill, this was 22.50 dollars for one, and a member of our party asked for a vodka and coke. The waiter said it was buy one, get one free, so when he asked if she wanted a double, in one of those extra long glasses, she presumed one was free. But no, she was charged a whopping 45 dollars for the vodka, and when queried it, waiter said she could have a vodka, a single, free. But no, we declined, thought we'd never get out of there. My husband is a smoker, and when he went outside to buy cigs, they tried to charge him 10 dollars to return. He has to see the manager to argue his case. Would never return, not for us at all, we're in our 60s. Worst meal of our holiday. Bill cost 280 dollars for essentially chicken and chips

Not sure where to begin...I had heard such awesome things about senor frogs that I was totally excited to visit the one in Orlando. It's a popular tourist place, clearly, so parking wasn't easy but we found a place and was charged $10 by employee number 1. We walk in and we're greeted by a frisk from employee number 2. Carded by employee number 3. Charged $5 per person for cover charge by employee number 4. Finally meet employee number 5 to be sat at a table. Employee #6 stopped to tell us to scan the menu on our phones. Employee #7 asked if we were ready to order drinks. Employee #8 which happened to be our actual server to our drink order. She informed us that the yard beers were bogo ($21.00) for Stella, so we actually ordered drinks. While she was gone, Employee #9 stopped by to sell us $5 shots... we declined. Employee #10 stopped by to ask if we wanted hookah (not sure of price). Employee #11 stopped by to see if we wanted souvenir pictures. Employee #12 stopped by to sell balloon sculpture design thing for $5. Then our server brought our drinks and took our food orders. Employee #13 stopped by to see if we wanted shots. Server brought our food. The dj is playing awesome dance music, the atmosphere is fun. The manager, Employee #14 stopped to see how everything was. People are dancing and having fun. Just a fun place. Then we noticed a sign on the table that we could only stay at the table for 2 hours only and would need to go to the bar. Asked the server about this and she said they are strict about this policy. Food was good. Service was fine until the bill came and our server told me that the 15% gratuity that was added goes to the restaurant but the extra tip that I was expected to leave would go to her.

In short. I'm all about capitalism and business thriving, but the ABSOLUTE GREED that I experienced at this place was so overwhelming that it ruined an experience I had been so excited to be part of. Dinner and 3 beers for four that would have cost $75 elsewhere cost over $200 at senor frogs. But the server asking for an additional tip on top of the already added gratuity was the icing on the cake and I had to leave. No ill never return and seriously could never recommend even though the food was good and the general...
