I recently had lunch at The Quarterdeck in Edgartown, and it was an absolute delight. The picturesque setting on Memorial Wharf, with views overlooking Chappaquiddick, set the perfect backdrop for a good meal. The Lobster Roll was simple yet bursting with sweet lobster flavor. The succulent chunks of lobster were perfectly dressed, letting the natural sweetness of the seafood shine. It was a true taste of Martha's Vineyard in every bite. As for the Mozzarella Sticks, they were a crispy, gooey delight. The breading was just right, providing a satisfying crunch that gave way to the warm, melted cheese inside. It was a perfect appetizer to start the meal. This spot is a must-visit for anyone looking to savor authentic Martha's Vineyard flavors in a charming coastal setting.

No tables, no cash. Takeout only. But this seafood shack represents the best value in the island and it is very conveniently located in the heart of Edgartown. Lobster roll is pretty solid. New England clam chowder is tasty. Clam strips and other fried foods are beyond edible. Tastes like all ingredients are from the frozen section of Restaurant Depot, but there is absolutely nothing wrong with that as long as the line cook knows how to prepare those frozen foods. And they do more than an adequate job at it. I was getting a little bit tired of overpriced and under-portioned meals at the island. And I discovered this place and it was a treat.

Super friendly person behind the counter. Yes, it's cash only, but there's an ATM there if needed (though the fee for cash at a bank ATM is likely better). Bring cash, and you save all around. There is no dine-in... it's a seafood and sandwich stand... but there are shared and shaded picnic tables near the Chappy ferry less than 50 yards away. Just be aware it can often be VERY windy there, so batten down your hatches (or clam strips). Food was very good, but the clam strips were overcooked, and the oil in the fryer was nearing it's end (I ran restaurants, so I know). Recommended, but not exceedingly so.

Ate lunch there today, 8/3/20. Had the Lobster roll, should have been called small lobster bun. I’d need to eat 3 to be full, and they aren’t cheap at $18 each. My son had one as well, they were average tasting at best. My daughter had clam chowder and grilled cheese. She said it tasted like the chowder came out of a can and that the grilled cheese tasted like rubber, she didn’t finish either. My son and I also split a side of fries and they were not cold, but not warm either, certainly not hot like you’d expect. Didn’t even eat 1/4 of them. Very disappointing overall. Not sure how the high rating for this place was attained, the owner must have a...
