We eat here 3-4 times a year when we travel. We always made sure to stay at the neighboring hotel just to eat here. June 24th we were traveling with another couple who had never eaten here and we were excited to show them this fantastic restaurant we have bragged to them about. Upon arrival we were immediately seated by the older gentleman that is always there and is the restaurants manager. Our waitress who was only on her third shift there came over and took our drink order. When she brought the drinks back we placed our dinner Oder of 2 scampi Lombardos w pasta in garlic and olive oil and house salads, 2 chicken entrees, one with veggies and 1 with red pasta and Caesar salad. The waitress brought out 3 Caesar's salad and I said we only had 1 and 2 house salads. She said she was sorry and would go get our salads. 40 min later she FINALLY brought us our salads. Already being there for an hour and 30 min she finally brings out our entrees with all red pasta. Again said sorry and 15 min later finally brought our 2 pastas in olive oil and garlic. By this time we have been in there for 2 hours and watching other tables come in after us, order, eat and leave before we have even gotten our food. Trying to stay calm I asked to speak to the manager that sat us. He only made things worse by 1) laughing the entire saying ya she was new and 2 waitresses have moved so they are short staffed. 2) when asked not for our meals to be free but could he atleast take the salads off that we waited 40 min for. He laughed and was like ya I can't do that. The owner already left for the day and I'm not going to call her. I'll give you a coupon for a free appetizer on your next visit. No thanks. When I told him we won't be returning he pretty much said cool. The waitress comes over and ask will it be 1 check or 2? I said 2. She leaves for 3 min and comes back with 2 checks! I don't know if it was lack of training on the restaurant or she just had a very short memory. Either way we will not be returning to this restaurant with how the manager had no cares about his guest and would not do anything to make our experience at that time better, except laugh. (Possibly he laughs when he is nervous) still...
Read moreI loved the atmosphere of this restaurant. I felt very welcomed from the moment we walked in the door really before we made it in the waiter was already smiling (unfortunately I can’t remember his name wore glasses mid aged he was awesome at his service). It was a nice low light candle lit setting fine dining so to speak. We were served complimentary water and bread with a house seasoned olive oil and fresh shredded Parmesan cheese on a platter to dip if you like along side room temp butter. The bread tasted homemade and was very fresh and warm sliced for a perfect bite. It was wrapped in a warm napkin as well. For appetizer we ordered the shrimp de jungle and it was Devine. Cooked perfectly and melt in your mouth while chwing you almost forget you’re chewing shrimp it’s so delicate. It comes with 4 regular sized shrimp with tomato and red sauce. Very tasty the sauce alone was good I wanted to dip a grilled cheese in it lol. I spread some on my bread though lol. I ordered a frozen Bahama mama and it was very bland the remake was still less than ok that’s what stole the 5th star I paid $10.75 for a tall glass of flavor water basically. We ordered the Alfredo pasta (we’re on vacation and wanted authentic tasting Alfredo hence why we ate here lol) mine with chicken and broccoli his with chicken and shrimp(so sad I didn’t get a pic before eating it was plated beautifully). It was so delicious. The chicken had a breading or PARMESEAN and herb crust on it that added flavor. It did need some SALT added to it. It was bland but a great bechamel and plenty so the noodles never got dry. The portion was a nice size I couldn’t finish at all with all the water (my glass stayed topped) and bread I ate lol. Overall I enjoyed my experience my waiter stayed checking on us the entire time and we spent $100.73 we tipped 20% and both agreed we’d spend it there with them again! Thank you...
Read moreI visited this location on April 23rd at 3:36 pm (just for the awareness of the owners because the owners [both elderly, a mouthy male and female in a white tank top] seem like the kind of petty people that would glance their reviews I'm the woman in a black beanie and a purple shirt that you went out of your way to embarrass!) I had an excellent experience with my waitress, who was kind and polite the whole time and earned her 10 Dollar tip! But this isn't about her. I had a situation where my sister was coming to meet me at this restaurant to pick me up after a long flight! When I asked my waitress about the possibility of my sister (who was driving/coming into town and needed to desperately use the restroom) using the restroom, the waitress said that would be fine. When my sister came into the establishment she was greeted by the elderly male owner who then proceeded to bulldoze over her and talk a mile a minute while she was attempting to explain the fact that she was here to meet me, an already paying customer who was already seated at a table, and that she just needed to use the restroom before meeting her sister. However, this gentleman proceeded to verbally berate my sibling, with the elderly female owner coming to back him up and chide her more for asking to use the restroom in the first place when she had no intention of eating there. Lmao news flash: it was because I was already eating there. Instead of letting my sister explain the situation, these two individuals proceeded to bully and berate her and essentially chased her out of the restaurant. I have never been more humiliated in my life. My sincere hope is that anyone who is looking for a quick eat, should avoid this restaurant if you are looking to be picked up by another individual. Because the owner will talk over you and give you rude...
