I had a good experience here until I ate the hamburger steak.
Me and my mother ordered ramens, one eel bowl, and hamburger steak to go.
Ramens were okay, not the best ramen ever but not bad either. Kinda disappointed on how 90% of the ramen have seafood in it and only one doesn’t. I hate shrimp and I saw somewhere that the seafood ramens here have shrimp so I decided to get the one ramen that didn’t have seafood. All I tasted was saltiness and I wish there was more flavor choices like garlic, Tonkotsu, or miso which usually don’t have seafood in it. I only had one ramen choice because everything had seafood
Eel bowl was delicious and the price was good for an eel bowl! My favorite dish from here.
The drinks were great also. We got Matcha Latte and it was very delicious!
Now off to the thing that ruined this whole experience. Hamburger steak.
You are so lucky that I ordered this to go instead of eating it at the restaurant. I’m Japanese and I have eaten many hamburger steak in my life. At least from 100 different places. This is the only place that I ate ONE BITE and my stomach was in so much pain that I had to lie down. After I lied down, 10 minutes later I started throwing up. 2 hours later I had to throw up again because there was still some hamburger steak left in my stomach 💀I’m finally feeling better 10 hours later as I write this review.
Idk what was used to make that hamburger steak but I don’t think it was anything good considering how sick it made me. Yes I ordered it for take out, but I put it in the fridge and then microwaved before eating. I do this with other take out too including hamburger steaks from other places and I never had a problem.
Will never be going here again until they fix the problem with their hamburger steak. I hate wasting food but had to throw it in the trash after I started throwing up.
Edit: I will not be contacting since I don’t care for a refund. Even if you have served hamburger steak over 100+ times, there is a possibility something may have went wrong that day.
My review was made to warn other customers and also inform you as a restaurant that your hamburger steak has made me throw up many times.
I have heard from mutuals that this place is owned by Umacamon owners. I was a loyal customer of Umacamon years ago. I also ate hamburger steak back then from Umacamon and have not had a problem. I’m disappointed in my experience at the new location with a new name and I hope you look into the...

Cool ambience, playing 60s/70s Americana music. Clean, well laid out, little 3-tier carts for all your needs. Complementary hot water + teabags and an unlimited salad bar. Their kitchen's exhaust ventilation seems to work well -- I've been to a lot of ramen joints where I'm getting secondhand monoxide poisoning.
Greeted immediately as I came in. They explained the menu. You order on a POS (Toast?) tablet in the front and prepay any tips.
Basing my review off #1 Ramen (Simple Ramen)...$13
Toppings -- threadbare -- no marinated bamboo, corn, potato, fried tofu etc... just green onion, chashu, egg, sprouts, fishcake, and some little pork bits (not the ground marinated stuff) 2/5 Noodles--flat, fresh, springy, grabbable 4/5 Chashu--did not seem bound and rolled, maybe I got an end piece? It was OK 3/5 Broth is easily the best part -- sweet, umami, seafood-y, some dairy/lactose in there for sure -- lighter than Misoya, heavier than Kitakata Bannai. Similar to Santouka. 5/5 Sprout -- WAY too many. Mung bean sprouts were propping up half the damn bowl. Literally 3-4 handfuls of sprouts. More sprouts than noodles. Sprouts should be a topping. I ordered a noodle soup, not a sprout soup. 1/5 Egg -- Only half of one. Quite likely the worst ramen egg I've ever had. Overcooked (not jammy). Almost no marinade flavor. Just tasted stale and old. I really look forward to the egg and this made me sad. 1/5
Would I go back? Maybe to eat something else. Despite the namesake, I find their ramen lacking. I'm curious if I should be trying another # ramen order, but really, your plainest (#1) should be telling of the rest.
For the same price, you could get Misoya. And while Misoya can taste heavy sometimes, it still is...
Read moreI'm going to start off with the positives. My boyfriend rated his Champ Ramen a 7.5 I rated my seafood Ramen an 8 and we both agreed that the takoyaki was an 8.5 very good. With that being said my boyfriend has a shrimp allergy so he ordered what he didn’t see came with shrimp. As we were packing up our to-go boxes we discover that at the very bottom of his bowl he has 3 large shrimp. He didn't die there was no reaction he still rated his ramen a 7.5. The major problem came when we went to pack a complimentary salad from the salad bar to-go. We were confronted by our waitress saying that the salad was in restaurant only. This was our first time at this restaurant. There was no sign nor were we told this beforehand. It was a very awkward and uncomfortable confrontation and both my boyfriend and I felt that it was unnecessary. She stopped us in the middle of making our salads and rather than just tell us for future reference the salad bar is in restaurant only she didn't let us complete our salads and hovered over us like we were stealing after being paying dine-in customers. We won't...
