One star is too much. I ordered on line for delivery. I tracked the order and it said it went out for delivery at 6:22. At 6:42 I called and asked where it was. I was told the driver had 4 deliveries and I should get it soon. I live 5 minutes away. I waited for an hour from the out for delivery time when I called back. I checked the status while waiting for them to answer the phone. It said EAT. Which meant it was delivered. I asked where my order was and a manager was put on the phone. He said he had no idea what happened to the order. The ticket must have got lost. But he knew what my order was. I prepaid $42 and some change on my credit card. He offered me store credit or he would remake the order and I could come pick it up. I opted to pick it up. When I got there I asked to speak to the manager. I asked to be reimbursed the $2.50 delivery charge and the $6.00 tip I prepaid. Again he offered me store credit. At that point I was not sure that I would ever do business with them again. Still not sure. I was irittated and said never mind not very nicely I'm ashamed to say. He said I could take some cookies. I took 2. I would have settled for an explanation and an apology. Instead I got an "I don't know what hsppened" and the impression that they didn't care one way or the other. UPDATE: Spoke to the district manager regarding this. She listened and expressed her apologies for what happened. She personally delivered my refund of $8.50 plus a $15 gift card. I...
Read moreI went through the drive-thru, asked the difference between the Big Italian and the Perfect Italian, and they said, "the Big Italian is the #9 and the Perfect Italian is the #5." Thanks, that was helpful. I should have left at that point and went to my trusted Penn Station Subs in the same plaza. Then, when ordering my wife's sub, they asked a few different times what she wanted on it, in which I answered the same way each time. That should have been my warning to check the sub when they gave it to me. Once we got home we realized it was wrong, very wrong. I called Jimmy John's to see if they if they would redeem themselves and deliver the right sandwich (3 miles down the road), and they said they would, for the cost of the sandwich plus a delivery fee. When they asked card or cash, I said I wanted them to just replace the sandwich for free. They asked the manager, and the manager said no, and that was that. I said I would rather leave them a nasty review than give them $9 for another sandwich (that they would probably just screw up again anyway). They were OK with that. For the record, I was polite throughout the experience, as all I really wanted was them to redeem themselves. Would they have given me a new sub if I drove back there? Who knows. I didn't want to load my two year old back up in the car...
Read moreFirst: This place does seem to be more of a tourist market than the one that we visited in Barcelona. I would not recommend coming here to do any legitimate shopping for your home.
That being said, it was a great experience for trying things that are not always on the menus of restaurants, or grabbing small bites on the go. I tried my first razor clams here. They are absolutely delicious, quickly cooked with some oil and garlic sauce and dumped onto a plate, add a squeeze of lemon, and perfect.
I also tried a shrimp croquet here. Shredded shrimp (almost to a paste), breaded and fried. pretty good, not as good as the pâté but the inside of the croquet had a similar texture.
There was also some delicious pistachio baklava, and some coconut fruit drinks that I would absolutely recommend as well. There are also fruit stands, meat, and paella that we didn't try.
This place was jam packed. Might be a little difficult for someone who has trouble...
