My family and I went to this establishment for a fun outing together, and each of us got less than optimal orders than what was implied on the menu. Asking for a plain salad without dressing got me a tomato juice-plastered pile of greens, my two brothers and I each had about as much cheese on our pizzas to fill up a shot glass. Toppings were limited to two, which was a rule not specified on the menu. Our pizzas were basically wood-fired undercooked dough with sauce and individual toppings. My Hawaiian pizza had six pieces of canned pineapple tidbits and three quarter-slices of Canadian Bacon. My brother's cheese pizza had barely any cheese, and my second brother's Italian sausage pizza had four meatballs. FOUR! Our pizza sizes were the small personal size, but it still felt like we were cheaped out. Paying around $10 a person felt like a scam. Unfortunate, as we heard great reviews about this place, and were left coming home and eating frozen pizza to satisfy the hunger we left with from this restaurant. The water was very fancy and filtered, served in a glass bottle for us to refill. Customer service met the base marks, but nothing more. Only were talked to when we needed to order, get our food to the table, and pay the bill. Unfortunate that this is one of the only restaurants in Ellensburg, as it seems to make even fast food sound like a delicacy. Would only recomment improvements, and I will likely be driving thirty minutes to Yakima to a better pizza place to avoid this ocerpriced...
Read moreDoesn't honor gift cards. I had an extremely disappointing experience at Cornerstone Pie. Before making the trip, I called to confirm that my gift card would still be honored despite the new ownership. I was aware of the ownership change, so I made sure to call. The person on the phone passed me to a manager, who assured me they would honor it DESPITE changing owners. Based on this, I drove all the way from Yakima to meet friends, only to be told in person that they wouldn't accept the gift card.
I even played the recorded conversation where the manager clearly confirmed they would honor it, but they still refused. This was incredibly inconsiderate and frustrating. Time is invaluable, and I purchased the gift card in good faith. They not only took my money happily, but also wasted my time. The manager verbally told me on the phone they would honor it, and that there was a balance on it. I have proof of this conversation.
They then give me an email address to email, AFTER I already did my due diligence to make sure it would work. This doesn't help me while I'm sitting at the restaurant, after driving 45 minutes just to meet my friends at this specific restaurant. I already paid for the gift card, so I'm not going to spend money on the menu after I already gave the company money by getting a gift card. I'm also not going to email them, when I already did what I thought was more than enough by calling them. I wasted an hour and half, fuel, and my time which...
Read moreEdit: After a year, I can say I love this joint. Great food, decent service, quality ingredients. You can split a large pizza and an appetizer for $20 durring happy hour and it's more than enough food for 2.
Delicious pizza and wonderful service. My SO and I have been here twice and we absolutely love it so far. He prefers meatier pizza, while I go for more veggies, but both have been wonderful. The service is fantastic and very accommodating.
The potato and arugula is delicious, but I'm personally not a fan of the texture of the potatoes. I like them more of the crunchy side where as they have a crisp, chewy texture here, similar to undercooked potato but with all of the cooked, potato flavor.
The garlic cheese bread is great, very subtle and a bit oily, but served with a perfect fresh marinara, and the BBQ pulled pork pizza is amazing, and very filling, but not heavy. The BBQ sauce is light and zesty, and compliments the toppings well without being overpowering.
The Black and Blue steak is really good. The steak is tender and buttery, but the blue cheese is not very sharp. It was a surprisingly sweet pizza but the flavors were very good.
The pizza crust deserves it's on category. Definitely on the thin and crispy side. No extra spices or shenanigans, just delicious, perfect crust. It has the slightest hint a Parmesan flavor that really enhances the mild cheeses the top their pizza with.
They also have very fresh salads and a delicious balsamic...
