I came in today with my friend for lunch and I wasn't really that impressed by our waitress. For starters I'm 8 almost 9 months pregnant and we didn't get offered a booth which would have been a lot more comfortable than a hard chair and a table. I didn't say anything about that we just sat down at the table and looked at the menu and me and my friend chatted for a bit. It took the waitress over 30 minutes to come back to us and ask us what we would like to drink I asked for a mellow yellow didn't get that I got a sprite which was not at all what I had asked for. Didn't bother to correct the young blonde waitress I just drank the sprite. Then we sat there for another 25 minutes waiting to order our food! We ended up getting our food by another gentleman in a white Jacket he was very polite compared to the young lady that was supposed to be serving us. The whole time we were here not once did our waitress ask if we needed anything nor did she check in on us. We had to ask her for refills on our drinks which shouldn't be the case. As a waitress you should be checking in on your tables making sure your guests are taken care of and have what they need. Midway through our meal the young blonde lady gave us our check without asking if there was anything else we wanted to get like dessert or anything. Personally I think that's a bit unprofessional and not very friendly service. Her words as she gave us the check were "I'm gonna just give you guys your check and get you out of the way" her whole energy with interacting with us was like she didn't want to help us and didn't want to be serving us. It felt like us coming in to eat was making her day miserable. She was not at all cheerful or friendly or pleasant just kinda cold towards us. I am a bit upset that I wasn't treated as a guest is supposed be to treated. I'm also a bit upset that our waitress assumed that we didn't want anything else and that we had to ask her to refill our drinks several times and that she didn't come in a check up on us. Even more so I'm not really sure I would come back to this Dennys if I'm gonna get service that makes me feel unwanted and unwelcome or like its an issue serving me or my friends.
Considering we spent about 41$ on food and services we expected a more pleasant service.
I used to work in the food industry and I have never seen such poor service. Speaking from experience as a former food worker from Firehouse subs and Sweet Tomatoes and Joe's crab shack I never saw a single server or food worker slack on taking care of their guest. We always greeted the customers with a smile and positive energy and checked in on them throughout their visit.
I'm not too sure this young lady should be a waitress if she's gonna act cold and careless towards her customers.
I think next time me or my friends want to eat at a breakfast lunch and dinner restaurant we will go to the ihop down the street by Walmart. They gave me better service than I got here being pregnant. They actually took care of me and my friends and checked in on us and asked us if we needed anything else or wanted to order anything else and they were actually friendly not cold!
Just saying people come in for the friendly service and honestly the young lady really made this restaurant look bad. You should never leave your table feeling unwelcome the way she made us feel.
Because of her poor service and attitude we decided not to tip.
With how bad our service was we both agreed that we could have gotten our food to go and had a better time than we did in the restaurant.
Please do better with hiring people that are nice and positive towards...
Read moreStopped here for some dessert after a movie. First time back since the remodel. We were seated but then it was several minutes before we got our drinks ordered. Drinks delivered but didn’t take our order.
When finally I was able to get our servers attention did we get to order. Of course that was difficult enough since she wouldn’t speak up above the smallest whisper. Informed dessert wanted wasn’t available. Okay no problem, it happens so we order another along with a couple of other things.
She brings out the other food but not the ordered dessert. Okay, well maybe it’s on its way. Wait some more, maybe it needs to be defrosted. Wait some more. Haven’t seen hide nor hair of server. My drink has been sitting on the edge of the table empty.
I’m not the only one trying to get some service either. At least two other tables you can see the frustration on the lack of service. Finally had to call out for her to even acknowledge us. Tell her we still don’t have the dessert. She then tells us that they don’t have that one either. She couldn’t have said that when she brought the other food?
No we were just ignored. Another lady comes out and we get the token apology. But I felt like we were the problem. Neither one even acknowledged the empty drink and I had to speak up.
I used to enjoy coming hear at night. Even when short of staff you still felt seen and heard. The ones there now? No. They make you not want...

Walk into wadsworth in hampton, Just for the manager to tell us, it was going to be a two hour wait. They were busy with a party of twelve and five other tables... Two servers and the manager... I asked a manager if he could take care of us, and he denied that request. I asked if we could do to go order, and he denied that request. Being close to red rocks on a concert night. I don't know why you would be understaffed. Furthermore, it would seem that the front of house staff could benefit from more training...
So then we decide to go to the location on hampton and Broadway... We get seated first out of five tables that walked in about twenty minutes apart. Two of the tables get their order taken before My party....okay they Somehow mess up half of my party's order And it took so long to correct all four tables that came in after us got their food before us... Some were even able to pay a 25-minute turn, and burn turned into an hour and a half... When asked if there was any type of compensation available. We were denied with anger and rudeness...
It's pretty hard to have a bad experience at this place. Considering that's the norm nowadays, but this was extremely over the top, even for denny's.. Being in the restaurant industry since 1999 myself I am appalled at the level of service I received this evening...
