It is a very disgusting place, the employees do not have personal hygiene, and do not follow the sanitation standards in food handling. An employee came out to clean the bathrooms, and the rag with which he cleaned the bathrooms, he only threw it into the sink that is in the kitchen area. The uniforms were filthy, an employee was picking his nose while cooking, because they don't wear gloves, and they don't wash their hands between activities. They go to the register and return to cook without washing their hands. Doors, windows, tables and floors, everything in the lobby is disgusting. The kitchen equipment, which is in full view of the consumers, looks extremely dirty, from ceiling to floor, it has not been cleaned for months. The food looks unhealthy, the guacamole is black, everything around is filthy, in fact the rice tasted bad. When we arrived, Amber informed us that it would be a long wait before she could take our order because she had a large order to prepare. However, she only prepped one item before finally attending to us.
Amber's attitude was condescending, as she seemed to think she could read our minds about what we wanted, and her frustration was evident. She made faces and mumbled when I explained my order, and I had to repeat myself multiple times before she understood what I wanted. Despite my clear instructions, she charged me for the most expensive item on the menu when I only wanted three individual items.
Amber's behavior was completely unprofessional and made the entire experience unpleasant. Other employees seemed aware of her behavior but did not intervene or offer assistance.
Overall, this was one of the worst customer service experiences I've had, and I hope Cafe Rio at Town Square takes steps to ensure that their employees provide better service...
