I am giving this two star rating solely based off my experience with the salon in Ulta for my visit on 11/05/25. I booked an appointment about an hour before the store and salon opened at 10 am do the 11 am slot with a young woman named Aries. I booked a signature cut, kids cut and a cecred hair treatment. I arrived to the salon about 10 minutes early, fully expecting to wait until 11 to be brought back, I was checked in and told my stylist was still with her previous client but I was welcome to shop around the store or sit in the waiting area, me and my 4 year old opted to sit and wait assuming she was finishing up. 11 am rolls around and she’s still servicing her previous client (they had barely started her blow out when I was walking up) the woman who checked me in went over to inform the stylist that her next appointment was here and waiting. I hear the other client apologize for being late and ask if her next client has arrived yet (me) and the stylist said something along the lines of “don’t worry about it, she can wait” and then they talked about how frustrating it is when clients show up early or on time when they are running behind (super awkward to overhear as the client who showed up on time for her appointment). About 15 minutes go by and Aries comes over to me and let’s me know she’s still with her previous client she showed up late and would need about 10-15 minutes to finish her blow out. Truthfully at this point I should’ve cancelled or seen if they had other available stylist, lesson learned on my end, I really needed to get these appointments done though, I had zero other available time. She finally finishes with her previous client and it’s 40 minutes into my appointment time. She brings me back we discuss what I want, she sounded very knowledgeable even. My hair felt better after the wash and treatment I selected which was great, unfortunately the execution of my cut and style was subpar, either the treatment wasn’t fully washed out or she used so much product in my hair that my roots were weighed down and my ends were flipped outwards, something we specifically discussed me not wanting lol, I had to go home and wash my hair again because it just looked odd. I’ve now washed my hair twice since the cut and while drying it tonight I saw how uneven the cut is (random long bits) and the ends feel so awkwardly thick, like there was no texturizing done, which I’ve never had to ask for the stylist always does so the hair doesn’t look so odd when in a ponytail. My daughters hair cut is also uneven, though I’d assume hers is more so from her inability to sit still and straight. Aries was very sweet and did thank me for my patience but I do think she needs to learn to turn away customers who are late, and learn to move quicker because she was very slow unfortunately especially given the results. Had I shown up 40 minutes I’m sure I would’ve been turned away so keeping me waiting 40 minutes into my booking was truly absurd. I always see people online saying not to go to ulta salons and I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt, unfortunately it was to my detriment. I do not think I’d willingly return to this salon, and would hope that Aries can learn to decline clients who show up late if it is going to impact her...
Read moreI just went in to this location now at 7pm and the service was absolutely horrible. I walked into the store and the cashier greeted me and I said hello and proceeded to walk around to look for a lipstick by Juvias place that I went specifically to look for. Noone asked if I needed any assistance. Instead, there was an associate who was close by walk off to the front of the store and pretend she did not hear me asking for help. So I proceeded to walk around looking for Juvias place with no help and other associates passing by asking other customers if they heeded help but not me. Instead, one female associate walks over to another male associate in the perfume section and asks him if he needs help, while, me the customer roams around lost with no help. Finally I find Juvias place and find the lipstick "Sheeba" that I came in for. I then find the foundations near by and there were no swabs to test with, so i approached the female associate who went to help the male associate in the perfume section and ask her where are swabs. She then points to the back wall and says "they're usually over there" so i asked if there arent any closer and she says "there are sometimes but they run out so you'll have to go over there" and looks at me. Didn't offer to show me or help me. I then went to one of the stations and there were no swabs so I went to the very next one and started to color match the foundation and the male associate comes by, see me and says nothing and leaves. I understand that he was helping someone else but I worked retail for over 12 years and I know what customer service should be and what it should not be. This was an absolute horrible experience so i ended up taking my items that I would have bought and left them at the counter and walked out. I refuse to spend money in a location that obviously doesn't care to service their customers. I would honestly hate to say it may have been because I was black but I honestly got that feeling. There was another black female customer roaming around as well and I didn't see anyone offer to help her. Maybe they did, I don't know. I'm 5"10', I'm pretty hard to miss and they all walked passed me as if I was invisible. I don't normally take the time to do this but this was a very disappointing experience. I just got off from working a 10 hour shift and decided to stop in last minute and had...
Read moreI rarely leave reviews but I am thoroughly annoyed. I finally arrived home after running errands with my little ones and went to open my 3.4oz Dior Addict and noticed that the package was a little scrunched at the top. I hadn't noticed in the store because I was busy with my youngest. No biggie. But when I opened it up I noticed there were sticky spots all over it. Fine ok. I cleaned it off, feeling a little irritated that a brand new $124 bottle of perfume needed cleaning. Then as I was cleaning it, the bottle caught the light (it's a very dark blue bottle), and I discovered that the bottle was only half full! What the heck!? Then I thought, ok, fine I'll take it back and deal with it tomorrow. By now it's 10pm so it was too late to call and talk to a manager. So I grabbed my receipt and set it out so I can call in the morning and iron this thing out. THEN I notice that I was over charged for another perfume that I purchased. Are you kidding me? I had purchased two Ariana grande scents in different sizes for my daughters but was charged for two of the 3.4oz bottles instead of one 3.4oz and one 1.7oz. I mean the boxes are very clearly different sizes. I feel very taken advantage of. I also watched the same cashier, the previous day, allow someone to pay for a half emptied bottle of something after it exploded on her in the line. She asked if she wanted a new one and the girl said no that's ok. Instead of going and getting the poor girl a new one she let her pay for a tainted item. I'm very disappointed with ulta in general but this location in particular has some kinks to work out. I will be going out of my way to go to sephora and other possible stores for things I need from now on. Major fail ULTA! I most certainly will not be going to this location anymore except to get...
