The only/best place in Eugene for smoky babaghanoush and fresh fried falafel. Just make sure you aren't in a rush bc they are very popular and food takes awhile. The guy who runs it is the nicest, and is brimming with goodwill every time we go. My partner always gets the Falafel pita with a side of Falafel, while I always get the Falafel saj with side of babaghanoush. For 2 yrs we have not been able to move beyond to try them chicken or anything else bc we love falafel and this is the next best option to making it at home ourselves. Know that this tastes best when fresh. Once we doubled our usual order to enjoy a fuss free dinner and found it nowhere near as good as lunch, the falafel had soaked up the sauces and were somehow dry. Atmosphere/service at food cart is always 5 stars, but atmosphere for this popular food pod area is not so, hence the 4 stars. Food pod is in a zero shade parking lot that in the Eugene summer is unbearable. Shared benches are rickety and not very clean, if they are available. If it rains, there is no...
Read moreI literally am using a second google account just so I can leave another review. I forgot a photo because I scarfed down my food so fast cuz I got excited haha. This is literally my happy place. It’s always a garunteed good experience. Amazing service with the sweetest guys who will always make you laugh and smile on your worst days and absolutely delicious food. I’ve been to several places that sell similar food and none of them even compare. The other places sacrifice quality for cheaper ingredients but somehow still charge more! This is definitely the best quality and price I’ve found for this food. Please go!! Everytime another one of my friends tries it they love it. Thank you to everyone there for always making my day brighter!!! Always look forward to taking a trip to Eugene and...
Read moreI stopped by Cafe Agora for the first time today, and it was great! The staff were friendly and the food was excellent. I got a special plate with gyro meat, vegan rice, and a dolma as well as a gyro wrap to share with my spouse. Both were delicious! I especially loved the gyro meat with the rice. Not a lot of places do vegan food well, so as a non-vegan eating the rice, I was surprised how good it was! Just as delicious as if it was made with real butter instead of vegan butter! The gyro meat was juicy and delicious, the vegetables were all fresh, the tzatziki sauce was flavorful, and my spouse loved the dolma. The staff also gave my dog a couple french fries as a treat, which he thought was the best! We’ll definitely...
