This was a birthday meal. The food was OK. It's a lighter fare and pruce like lighter fare served in the 5th street public market. Not too bad but could have been better. I was still a little hungry. I got the gyro plate, and it came with the salad, meat, rice, and pita. Like others have said, they do skimp on the meat. I fully expected more, and it would have rounded out the whole plate and made it feel a lot more worth the money, etc. The pita felt the store bought and not fresh. I could be wrong, but it just felt like bagged commercial pita that was toasted. They were out of lamb, which was disappointing. All together for $82 not including tip we got 2 bottles of water, an iced tea, a can of coke, a gyro plate, a gyro with a side of soup, a veg plate, a salmon salad, and a pita and humus plate. Run down of goods and oks: The hummus was very good, the taziki was lacking, the meat was good but sparse, I heard the salmon was good, the rice was good, the spanakopita was good, the soup was not a fave, dolmas were good, the qyro was a lot of lettuce not enough meat. The service was kinda like, "Do you even know what you want?" But she perked up when she realized how much we were going to order, and when handing us the food, it was a little more cheerful. Idk, I just feel like I get more food that's similar and a better experience at Tradewinds. She could have also told us there was free cold iced water around by the bar. The view was ok, you can see the trains go by. The eateries are located on the 2nd floor. Directions take you to the back of the 5th Street public market, but you can park for free in their lot for 3 hrs. It's tight, small parking...
Read moreI ordered the vegetarian plate through GrubHub to pick up during my lunch break. When I went to go get it, I spent 5 minutes sitting there being accosted by the woman at the front counter for ordering through GrubHub. She was mad and told me from now on if I want food from them I need to call, because if I order through GrubHub they pocket less and it's cheating them out of money. And the first thing she said to me when I walked up and asked her for my pickup order is why did you order off of GrubHub? No hi, no how are you, nothing. Look, I don't have time to sit there on my short lunch break to get chewed out by someone I don't know. She was completely and utterly rude. It was humiliating. If YOU don't want customers ordering through GrubHub.... DON'T HAVE THAT AS AN OPTION. I will never go back. The food was ok, but the portions were also very small. And it did make me wonder if they gave me less food because they were mad I had "cost them money." Whenever I've gone into that food court it never seems like people are eating there as much as the other places, and now I...
Read moreI am a doordash driver. I picked up an order at Cafe glendi. When I arrived I was told it would be ready in 10 minutes it took 25. I am not complaining about the wait time, I don't have a problem with wait times. When I picked up the order the nice older lady thanked me for waiting patiently and I went and delivered the order. The next day when I logged into DoorDash I had a contract violation which is grounds for possible firing, aka deactivation. I found that the app told me I didn't pick up the order for 30 minutes after it was ready. I knew that was not the case as I watched them prepare it and they handed it to me immediately. I went back the next day and let them know that their marking the order as ready for pickup when it was not caused me to get a contract violation which could get me fired. They told me they did not care they did it that way to make their delivery times look good. I do not recommend anyone order from there who cares if people are...
