Cowfish Cafe and Lounge — Restaurant in Eugene

This review is not to dis the drag show that performs at Cowfish. The show itself is great!!! This is to dis the security guards that are employees of Cowfish. My dear friend is a performer in the drag show Glamazons at Cowfish. She invited me to attend the 1st drag show since the pandemic in Eugene. I was the first one to arrive and the first one to get a table on the floor. No one offered to stamp my hand. However, after the show, I went outside to get some air. When I tried to come back in, the security guards refused to let me in because my hand was not stamped. I told them what had happened and they told me if I didn't leave, they would put me in handcuffs!!! Even my performer friend coming outside and talking to them did no good.There was absolutely no need for security to act like this. It was simply a case of men with small tools (🤭)trying to exert their dominance. Come on, Cowfish....men with this type of attitude have no place in a gender-fluid...

I have always preferred cow fish, but not anymore. Last night was mine and my groups last time. I ordered my first drink of the night, a beer from the busy bar. As the bartender set my beer down the crowed behind me was rambunctious and a girl (who I don’t even know) knocked it over before I ever touched my beer. The bartender said “I have to charge you for another if you want one, drinks spill” I thought that was so rude and not a good look for cowfish. That one beer has cost a group that regularly gives cow fish business. Would never go back with out that beer replaced and better empathy from the bartender tbh Cow fish, please have a talk with employees on how to treat customers decently. Especially ones who are regulars. I’m saddened when this could have been an easy fix but now...

RECOMMEND First time tonight.. At first walking in... wasn't too impressed. My Vodka OJ didn't taste like It should, besides that... But honestly with the whole social distancing, makes it a bit understandable. After a while, I was starting to love CowFish. Music was GREAT, employees were very nice and the dance floor was still poppin. Can't wait to see the atmosphere when/if its all this is over! Will most definitely come back. But come early [like we did] on a weekend. There was a line outside. Being they can only hold 50% compasity with the whole covid thing. The whole dancing with a mask thing... sucks though.. felt like I was gonna passout.. and I was a dancer who had to wear a mask and was fine. So that has to...
