Remarkably comfortable coffee shop tucked into the side of Willamette Street, wonderful for enjoying a sip solo or with a group. I have gone to this place many times in the past year or so, and am consistently impressed by the quality and variety of food and drink they present. While the shop can be busy at times, mostly around 11 AM from my experience, the kind and considerate staff keep up with every order they receive, and get you yours in a timely manner every time. I usually get a simple café latte with raw sugar, and take enjoyment in the fact that the coffee flavour is very detectable in the final cup. No attempts are made to hide the flavour of a high quality roasted coffee bean under syrup or excess milk, and the coffee is left in full highlight. Of course, they offer a large variety of other beverages, too, and a large food menu, whose dishes and pastries equal the quality of their drinks. Additionally, the cozy aesthetic and feeling of the space is greatly articulated by its wide variety of seating areas and pretty carpets hanging on the walls. Overall, I highly recommend visiting this spot if you enjoy the purity of a cup of fresh coffee and a relaxing atmosphere, two features which never fail to compliment each...
Read moreIt pains me to give Perugino less than a four - I spent many happy and productive hours here during my college days. While prices always ran a little on the high side, there used to be some solid value items to balance it out - the bruschetta plate stood out in particular. Unfortunately, prices have kept going up and portions have kept going down - until you're left looking at the world's tiniest sandwich and thinking, "I paid eleven dollars for this."
A side note: the ambiance always used to be reliably charming, and the music understated and unintrusive. (Lofi, jazz, Spanish guitar, strings.) It's now much more hit-or-miss, and depending on your tastes, if you go in to polish off a chapter over lunch, you might find yourself wondering if they could just it...
Read moreI recently visited Perugino, a fantastic coffee house with a warm and inviting atmosphere that's perfect for studying and had a top-notch tea selection. I tried the chamomile tea and it was brewed to perfection. Although I didn't try the food, the menu looked great. Prices are reasonable and there's street parking nearby. The staff is friendly and the decor is lovely. I highly recommend Perugino for anyone looking for a great spot to study or relax with a cup of tea. Convenient location, great prices, and a warm atmosphere make Perugino a must-visit coffee house if you're in the area looking for a place to catch up with friends in a mellow setting or really enter the deep...
