I usually come here alone and around lunch time. I have only been a few times, the few times I went it wasn't too bad. Good sushi, but this time I went around 6pm by myself tonight. I stood in line and these ladies came in after me cut me in line and were served first. OK whatever. Next I just stood there waiting for like 8? minutes until I got asked if I was picking up and I said "No Id like to be seated" and the person said "okay" and walked off? Ive never sat myself before, so I asked the person behind the register if I can just go sit and she said sure anywhere is fine. Ok sat down at sushi bar and got a menu, between 10-15 minutes until the literal owner told the waitress to go take my order because he noticed me just sitting there at the bar with the menu on the counter. Finally got my sushi, and the rolls were loose and the pieces were humongous. I only ate 2.5 rolls and most of my tori-karaage. Waitress asked how my food is and I told her the rolls were loose, and she got it discounted so that was nice, (also I could be misremembering but Im pretty sure last time I got more than 5 pieces?) I think if you wanna eat here, come at lunch when its slower, youll get better plating and better service than whatever I just experienced. The sushi tasted OK. Tori Karaage tasted very bomb I just forgot to get a pic I was hungry. 21.60$ for just my "discounted" shogun sushi and tori karaage.

Slow service as there was only one waitress. She tried her best though. There are help wanted signs all over town! Pretty busy when we arrived at 2:30 on a Tuesday afternoon. People were lined up getting to go orders and about half the tables were taken. No draft beer as the cooler was broken. They had some bottled beer but not all that was listed on the menu. We ordered wine and it was a nice sized serving. The Salmon bento box was large (for me anyway). It had flash fried salmon, sticky rice, a Philadelphia roll, potstickers, and salad. I really enjoyed it! The Blue moon special roll for the day had a combination of seafood with a rather thick fried coating drizzled with a blackberry sauce. It sounded interesting but ended up being unremarkable. The breading overwhelmed the seafood. The Rock and Roll with eel, cucumber, avocado was very tasty. The service needs help but we would return for the food.

Went in with my family for my birthday today and was overall pleased! We ordered from the kitchen and sushi and everything was amazing, I devoured several rolls in minutes and all washed down with a Kirin. The original guy working was a complete jerk and openly spoke of quitting (because it was busy) and I watched him repeatedly put down a young lady working there who never showed emotion and ended up serving us perfectly. I tipped her good and left a note saying I was sorry she had to work with a jerk. Overall it's a great place, just drop the idiot guy with earrings, the way he spoke to his fellow employee was terrible and how he arrogantly spoke to customers about everything was painful to hear. The photo says it all. A+

So, I had high hopes for this place but let's begin. When my wife and I ordered on the phone was great no problem the girl that answered and took our order was nice. We arrive and we are greeted when we enter the place. Here is where things went wrong. We heard the cook yelling at one of the front room ladies because he was mad he had gotten our order wrong and didn't read the ticket correctly. We asked for zero onions in our food because of severe allergies. What happens I get onions in my food mixed in. The food did not look good at all. We were also given the miso soups with tons of onions in it. My wife received vegetables in her dish that she asked for not to in there. What happens she gets salad like that's still vegetables. So when we asked for it to be corrected you would think new food would be made, nope the chef just decides to scrap the salad away and spread out the Noddles which still had salad in it because he did that. No to mention the food was too hot and spicy to eat but does not mention it will be that way in the menu. I asked for the combo that comes with tempura and got pot stickers instead and also when the chef had to make me some he did two very mall shrimps with not much tempura batter around it, they wee very poorly and it was stingy to just give two even with the extra long wait as well. As a disabled military veteran I would of liked to receive a discount as well. I got my money returned but they couldn't take the food back even though we brought all the food with us so we drove around and gave it and some waters we had in the car to this homeless couple because we didn't want the food going to waste and being thrown in the trash the couple was very thankful but my wife and wish more could be done to help the homeless in this area, the next president needs to fix this problem immediately. Now would my wife go back to this place...

Alright so check it guys and gals. This place has amazing sushi, the rice and fish are both well prepared and delicious. This one star review is due to the service and the cheap imitation knock off that they call ramen. I don't know about you but when you see a "Japanese" restaurant you kind of expect the "Japanese" food to be authentic or at least close to. With this in mind I ordered some shin ramen with vegetable and egg, it sells for about 9 or 10 bucks a bowl. Unfortunately, upon receiving said ramen I noticed the broth was very watery and the noodles were very similar to store bought ones(like a pack of ramen, not just store bought ramen noodles, that I could have been happy with.) Just to make sure before getting annoyed, I asked our waitress if this was like the packs of ramen from the store, she admitted that it was indeed, so I apologized to her and told her I would like to order something else and I did not want this ramen. (I took one sip of the broth to check before I asked her nothing else) at first she agrees but shortly after brings it back in a to go container. I asked her why she had brought it back telling her I actually didn't want it at all, she asked me why and I explained it was because I didn't want to pay 10 bucks for a bowl of ramen I could easily make at home for under 3. She could have just been a polite person and accepted this, but then she starts to argue with me and rants about how no customer has complained before, finally after an uncomfortable 3 or so minutes of this back and forth arguing she relented and agreed to not make me pay for this overpriced cup o noodles. Luckily our other food was already at the table so I wasn't worried about having any of the cooks spit in it or otherwise deface it(which I doubt they would have) so to recap, this restaurant has top notch sushi, but below subpar...
