just excited to try a new sushi place we havent tried, (we- me and my mom). We walked in, were told to choose our seating, sat down. Waited about 10 mins for someone to come up and ask if we ordered yet, no.. So we ordered all our food, got our drinks. I wanted to ask for a straw but the waitress was gone by the time I went to open my mouth after she set the drinks down, (this is re-ocurring). from then on it took about 15-20 min for tori karaage app. I had to ask for a straw then, since they did not come and stop at our table once in that whole 20 mins. Tasted wet? The meat was rubbery, not sure how to explain. Texture was like eating squid, when tori karaage is chicken. Took about 20 more mins for my mom to get her yakisoba, then shortly after my dragon roll and her seoul rolls came.. all on the same plate. Which was already kind of odd, but fine. Her rolls were fine, she said her yakisoba was great. My dragon roll, (my own fault for not translating the word on the menu for fish roe) had fish roe on it. I cannot eat fish roe, I instantly throwup if I taste it whatsoever. I wiped it off, then i came to realise the sushi was BIG AS HELL. I asked the waitress if they couldnt cut it, her exact words "not at this point, but I can bring you a butter knife?" Usually its bite sized, but I quite literally had to bite it in half and by then the other half ends up a mess on the plate... She said "Yeah, you have to ask for thinly sliced :)" and my instant reaction was "thats weird." and she just stared at me like i was crazy. Ive had authentic sushi, sushi from all over the US, bcus ive lived all over.. Never have I had to ask for it to be thinly sliced... I feel like its something that needs to be said before ordering at all. So anyway, she brings me a butter knife... Knowing damn well a butter knife isnt going to slice through the sushi let alone even seaweed. We talked to what I assume was the owners wife, and when it came down to it.. She told me "oh but its very popular you should try it :)" about the fish roe... I have tried forcing myself to eat fish roe atleast 10x, just cannot do it. Theirs was also insanely liquidy and tasted like straight chemicals. So, I ended up eating .5/6 of my rolls, and they didnt comp it. Ended up paying about 56$ total 0 tip. Waited 30 mins for food when it wasnt very busy with 3 waitresses. Tbh, theres much better elsewhere, wont be coming back. Very unfortunate, had to stop and get food elsewhere. This was...
Read moreFirst impressions are everything and Sushi Seoul impressed in spades.
Immediately upon walking through the front door we were greeted, welcomed with smiling faces, and straight away I noticed the cleanliness of the environment overall. I consider myself to be highly intuitive, and from the moment we arrived, the high+frequency vibrations were palpable. Noticeably present. The design/decor was all visually appealing, calming, and unique, too. Simply put; the VIBE was DOPE A* .
Additionally, our server was absolutely WORLD. CLASS. 💯 I do not throw that around lightly. Her appearance was flawless. She was refreshingly pleasant, kind, light-hearted and professional. She was genuinely interested in ensuring our experience was awesome. And she delivered ..in SPADES. Oh, and she also knew who Joyner Lucas was. Bonus points in my book.
At this point, Wifee and I are enjoying ourselves & chatting - already raving about the great time we're having and how we'll definitely be going back soon. I'm so pumped up about all of it, that I'm already texting the homies ..like;
[verbatum] "Bruh?! Sushi Seoul! Cant believe I haven't been here before. You? This place is fire 🔥 🔥 🔥"
Then, the grub comes out and it is PERFECT. The flavors. The preparation. The presentation. The quality. 10/10 across the board. For context, my wife usually steers clear of any Nigiri. BUT! Not this night. She actually suggested we add the Yellowtail Nigiri! 🤯 As you might suspect, she (WE!) loved it!
Last - on a different night, it's entirely possible that we would've getting loose on their $1 Shake Shots - and damn were they enticing. Since we weren't sippin', though I was super stoked to find out that they have their own HOUSE-MADE SODA! "Pineapple-Vanilla" and "Pomegranate-Ginger." We ordered one of each. And just like EVERYTHING ELSE on this AMAZING night at Sushi Seoul ..absolutely INCREDIBLE.
Sushi Seoul, FTW. 🙌 🍣...

Many people don't understand the difference between a restaurant that is simply old and one that is consistently great. If you didn't attend Sheldon High School before 2013, you might not fully appreciate how delicious this wonderful restaurant is!
Throughout all four years of high school, my mom gave me enough pocket change for a small lunch, but I was happy to wait until I was home to enjoy her cooking. Instead, I saved that money.
I was looking for a quiet and calm environment to study, and I found it at Sushi Seoul, which used to be located across from Sheldon. Yes, it's so good that I went there consecutively for four years!
The owners welcomed me into their business with open arms. Seeing me with my backpack, they were immediately considerate and found me a quiet space where I could focus.
Going to this Wednesday sanctuary every week became more than a routine; it became my time to manifest my wildest dreams and goals into reality. This was all with the support of the two owners, who would sometimes partially cover my expenses, not knowing I had very little money of my own.
I'm so grateful and feel blessed to have met these two amazing people early in my life. They are a part of the heart and soul of this beautiful community we all share.
As I sit here now welcoming two more clients to this dream of business I manifested, I want you all to know how amazing this special place they have built is. I can only tell you that their food is worth your time. I encourage you to come and experience it with friends and family—not just on my word, but for the kindness they have shown to so many others besides myself.
I will keep coming back to Sushi Seoul because one sip of their Tonkatsu Ramen is more than just noodles; it's the manifestation of greatness that is the soul of...
