AAAAAAA+++++++ While I was absolutely gutted 😭 that Oregon Electric Station closed I was glad that The Old Spaghetti Factory has given it life again. I made reservations for myself and my daughter's for dinner. We were welcomed in and sat promptly on a train car which is so awesome. The girls were stoked! I heard a little boy at the next table declare "THIS IS THE GREATEST DAY OF MY LIFE!" 🥳 as they were sat at their table. 😂 😆 😂 Our server was Julie who was one of the best servers I have had in a very long time. She was so friendly, had amazing suggestions and had great genuine conversations with us. We ordered drinks and she brought them quickly, she told us how the 3 course dinner works...dinner comes with soup or salad and entree and a dessert. We ordered spinach artichoke dip to start, delicious , I had the Roasted Wild Mushroom Ravioli, my daughters got Cheese bread with Pepperoni (similar to pizza 🍕) a side of Chicken Parm no marinara and Spinach and cheese Ravioli. Our appetizers and bread roll with garlic butter came quickly, followed by our salads and we dug in ravenous from running around all day. Julie's pace was perfect, refilling drinks and checking in often but not too often she also suggested some of their house dressing for the bread which is the white pesto and boy was that a great idea. By the time dessert came I had saved room for Tiramisu, my fav, and upgraded from my ice cream 🍨, it was totally worth it and a huge piece, my daughter loved her spumoni dessert and she never tries anything new so this was RAD! (chocolate, cherry & pistachio gelato). We took the sorbet to go and boxed up our leftovers. Overall an absolutely wonderful and affordable dining experience in Eugene, everything was 🔥 hot, delicious 😋 and we will definitely be back! I've worked in service my whole life and Julie was on point! Thank you Julie you were definitely the hostess with the mostess, totally rocked our socks and are an absolute ⭐ ✨ ⭐ ✨ SUPERSTAR!! ⭐✨🌟✨🌟✨ ☘️...
Read moreI was really disappointed with the experience. The building is stunning and the vibes inside are great. An old train station turned into a restaurant made for a lovely scene. However when we first asked for a table the host seemed annoyed that we didn’t have a reservation even though it was the middle of the day on a Monday and when we were finally seated we were the only ones in an empty room. We waited for a long time for our server to even come to our table and when she did she didn’t even get our drink order and let us know that she would be checking on her other table and then return to get our drinks but her other table already had their drinks and food. When she ordered our drinks she let before we could even say we were ready to order. We waited for a while later and when we finally ordered our food she had to leave in the middle to go check on some of our questions. A little while later when I saw her pass by I asked her to take the alcohol menu with her. Some of us are in recovery and didn’t want the alcohol menu staring us in the face. She replied that she would come and get it later when all she did was just set it down by a table nearby which was on her way earlier. She seemed frustrated with us consistently. We were confused as to why everything took so long since the building was basically empty but maybe there was stuff going on behind the scenes. The food was pretty good but not for their high prices and the two staff we interacted with just seemed annoyed with us. It made the experience pretty awful. Wouldn’t recommend coming her for the high $$ average food,...
Read morePulled into the too small parking lot with my too large bus. Because we came early, there were actually enough spaces together to park the bus. Of course, it was on the far side of the parking lot. Fun getting disabled me into the restaurant. There is no sign on the building on the parking lot side so you just have to guess and walk around the front. Yes, the decor is nice, but you can't eat it. Because we made reservations, our party of 22 was seated right away. We were given a choice of three different pasta dishes. The wait staff assured us individual checks were fine but then the manager came over to tell us the "contract" said we had to pay one bill and it would all be lumped together. Since the food was all the same price and no extras were allowed, we decided that would work. Then they started bringing food. The bread was so hard and the knife to cut it was so dull, we nearly didn't get to have any. The salad was cut into about 1/2 inch hunks and coated with an Italian dressing. I suppose that was okay, we were IN a spaghetti factory... So, the main course arrives and really, it was pretty good. What there was of it. I could have used more, but that was not an option. So, then the bill came. 27 people at $21.60 a plate. Wait a minute, we only had 22 people. The manager said we were charged for 27 because the "contract" said there were 27 people. But, there were only 22 and we never signed any contract. After wrestling with the manager for a bit, she finally reduced the bill to the 22 people. You really shouldn't have to work this hard to give a...
