Chipotle: Satisfactory, but not Stellar
I recently visited Chipotle for lunch after a long break from my last visit. I ordered a chicken bowl. The food was decent but fell short of being impressive. The dining area, though not busy, could benefit from better attention to cleanliness. While the experience wasn't terrible, it didn't leave me eager for a return visit anytime soon.
Visit Update: 10-30-23 - I always believe in giving businesses another chance, so I returned to Chipotle. Unfortunately, my experience wasn't great. I came in around 5pm and was the only customer at that moment. I opted for the chicken bowl, but it seemed they were running low on rice, beans, veggies, and the mild sauce. They were very stingy with the portions and nothing was fresh. I felt like I was getting scraps. My order of chips was also disappointing, with many crumbs in the bag. Perhaps it wasn't the best time to visit?
Additionally, the dining area needed some attention. Many tables were untidy, although someone did start cleaning after I sat down. However, the litter on the floor was overlooked or ignored.
I don’t think I’ll be visiting this location anymore but the jury is still out whether this an isolated location issue or a concept...
Read moreMy wife entered our order online, as we have before, and this time we received an error that said we would need to pay in the store. My wife was charged twice for the meal and so we were confused as to what happened. I go in to pay for the food and am told they don't have it. I ask if the manager could come and explain what's going on.
Cynthina, the manager of this establishment, comes out and states without any word of welcome or concern "we don't have your order." I say fine and bring up the two charges from Chipotle on my phone and she says snips at me to call their corporate line and immediately tried to wrap the conversation. I thanked her for her convenience and left. I won't be back.
I'm shocked at how someone so rude and incompetent could be a manager that is customer facing. All I wanted was a respectful explanation and an apology for the inconvenience. Not comps. Not prostrating grovelling. Just common courtesy explanation, and acknowledgment. I received nether. Incompetent. Rude. Clueless.
That said, this location also likes to skimp on portions recently when you order online. It feels like you're only getting half of what you used to get....
Read moreWhy does everyone always seem pissed off? Im pretty sure im not too demanding when saying please and thank you when asking for the food, but for the last 3 times ive came to this specific chipotle everyone seems pretty angry about something before I walk in, which usually corresponds to how the portions are gonna be. Burrito was like half the size i've seen before and I asked for extra rice and sour cream, but what was put in was like trying to squeeze that last bit out during the last day of the month before the paycheck hits. Got a quesadilla as well, why is it that I get like half a scoop of cheese? half a scoop of chicken? I'm not sure if this is a management issue or somehow 3 times in a row I got unlucky and came right before a rude customer left but that couldn't be a coincidence 3 times in a row. Only nice person was the one who did the transaction and the rest of the crew still seemed pissed off at her while she was diligently cleaning the stations. To be clear I dont ask for a smile or nice words I just want the...
