I'm mostly making this review for food allergies. I visited this hibachi restaurant tonight and I want to address how my shellfish allergy was handled. I told both my server and my chef at the table. I have a pretty severe allergy and have to worry about cross contamination. After my allergy was addressed, the hibachi chef was unprepared to handle the request and appeared to be untrained in the matter. I can't speak for every chef at this location but our chef (who never introduced himself by name) was not able to keep my food from being contaminated. While they were able to cook my food in the back, I've never had a chef have an issue with my allergies before and hope they talk with all their chefs about cross contamination and how to accommodate allergies.

Now, outside of the food allergies, here's my full review. The atmosphere is cute and cozy. The service we had was pretty standard for a hibachi place, they don't hover so you can enjoy the experience. Couldn't complain. Our server also was quick to let management and the cooks know about the mixup with my food allergy. The hibachi chef himself, he was not very entertaining. It was pretty boring actually. The food I could eat from the hibachi chef was okay. The food cooked in the back, was also just decent. Also, for those concerned about pricing... it was pretty standard for a hibachi restaurant. Maybe a bit higher for the area but only by a few dollars.

Overall, there's room for improvement and some concern about how they handle food allergies. I personally won't come back to this location. This area has a lot of other hibachi restaurants and I will be going...

Not sure if it was just our chef/waitress combo. But we did not enjoy this over priced hibachi that was suppose to be a birthday celebration. They forgot the appetizer (we had to request it after the meal was done and take it to go) The waitress never came back so most of us sat with empty drinks. The chef at one point had to waiver her down only for a different person to show up. Steamed rice was over cooked, and because the waitress never came back, we couldn't ask for soy sauce or water to help with how dry it was. The portion sizes were the smallest of any hibachi I've ever been to, but still charged the same amount. Low energy from the chef, did not engage anyone at the table, showed up like he owned the place then left eggshells on the grill because he couldn't get them out. We were a group of 2 and 2, with a third group of 2 that was not with us at the grill. The server brought them their check/cashed them out. But never brought ours. I had to go up and ask for it (about 10 min after the other two had received the bill, closed out/ chatted for a while and left). After having to get up to ask for the bill and clearly being frustrated. The server took one check at a time even though we were sitting ready with cards in hand. (They messed up the bill as well, but we just Venmo'ed because we wanted to leave) Ended up going to a drive through to get more food after spending $100 per couple, because of the small portions.

Don't go here because it is convenient, 100% not...

I have traveled all over the world and eaten all types of cuisines but one of my favorites is Japanese hibachi. I was in town on an overnight stay and decided to have dinner at the imperial hibachi and sushi but was greatly disappointed. I ordered the scallop and chicken dinner which was greatly lacking. My scallops were blackened/ burnt on one side and to be quite honest the amount of food that was given was deplorable. I was a single individual seated with another group of three and it the majority of the food was given to the other group which consisted of two men and a lady. It should not matter if I am male or female when paying my money to enjoy a nice meal. Not to mention there was a hole or something in my bowl because my soup was leaking all over the table where I was sitting so most of it drained out. I have never gotten such a small portion of food going to a Japanese hibachi restaurant and at $28 a plate there's no way I should have left the restaurant hungry needing to go and pick up something at a fast food drive-thru. The picture below was what I received. No way would I recommend this place to friends, family, loved ones.

Decor and ambiance is very tasteful... in the Hibachi side of the restaurant. But if youre in the mood for sushi, get ready for a mediocre setting. I went here with a friend of mine right after the restaurant's grand opening, August 31st, and left dissatisfied with a hole in my wallet. My friend and I both paid well over $25 each for what seems to be horribly prepared sushi rolls. We enjoyed the tempura shrimp however we still had two rolls with salmon and tuna, both of which were extremely chewy and not prepared right at all. The tempura vegetable appetizer was a flop as the dough hadn't been fried to a crisp around all the veggies brought out on the platter. And since we were the only customers in the restaurant at that moment, we were being serviced quite well, perhaps to the point where they were overbearing (we had two waiters and 2 other staff members checking in on us). Sadly, even though I live right next to the restaurant I will not be revisiting. I will gladly pay over $25 for well prepared sushi elsewhere.

***CHECK OTHER REVIEWS ABOUT TERRIBLE SERVICE *** I’d been dining here for quite some time 2-3 years and this time, I was treated TERRIBLY by the MANAGER. I simply called to order and there was a discrepancy with the prices listed on the Google Maps Menu and their store. I brought it to their attention and 1) was handed off to the manger in the middle of convo 2) the manager hung up in my face and said he didn’t know what I was talking about. I arrived at the store and the manager proceeded to tell me that he doesn’t have time to hear what I have to say and he doesn’t know what I’m talking about while flailing his arms. He told me that they were too busy, wouldn’t talk to me. We went back and forth until I realized customer service is not their primary pillar of how they operate their business. Photos pictured: manager, busy restaurant, prices online (these are NOT their actual prices).
