Yelp Elite Update: 08-31-2024
I apologize for the lapse in update: Two weeks ago
Now, for those who frequent CAVA, we know their bowls are a pretty penny. So, when they gave me an order with burnt meatballs, I couldn't just let it pass. Food like that should have never been served, it should have been thrown away, even if that means you have to go without that ingredient for an hour or two.
I submitted a complaint to their online customer service and within twenty-four hours, received a response. I made sure to submit my pictures and my receipts, they were very kind and responsive to my concerns and promptly issued a credit to my CAVA account. When I returned to CAVA, my salad was PERFECT! I understand, that sometimes there will be variations in what we order, but there will never be an excuse when it comes to poor quality foods being served to your customers. I would rather wait or make another decision, rather than be served something inedible.
Thank you for making this correction, Cava!
I'm so disappointed. I often frequent CAVA, and when reviewing other establishments; I hold them to CAVA standards.
The many times I've visited, I always pick up my order. Next time, I will pick up my order and check my order before leaving. I've never had a bowl that was half-full, nor have I had a bowl that came with burnt lamb meatballs and falafels. I was livid, both pieces of meatballs were burnt and were not edible. Sometimes, when meatballs are burnt you can cut that part off. Not these, both sides were burnt and could not be salvaged and were thrown away.
I tried to find a site where a complaint could be made, but was unable. I will try to contact the store, tomorrow. Most times, I will deal, but when these were taken out of the oven; it was more than obvious these should have been discarded, even by sight, you can see they...
Read moreI have ordered twice through Uber Eats and love the food. We decided to make a quick stop choosing Cava over Panera Bread for a healthier lunch option coming from church straight to my son's baseball doubleheader game. My son came in with me, waited in line with me to choose what he wanted, and then went to the car to change into his baseball uniform. I ordered 4 items and was told that due to policy, I'm limited on the number of items to order. I cannot comprehend this. The employee who was really nice and only the messenger, bless her heart, said that due to policy, I am limited to 2, or 3, items (I honestly can't remember at this point because I was so perplexed). I said my family was in the car waiting and she said they had to be in the restaurant, or I could order the additional items digitally. I asked her, "For a family of 6, I am limited to the number of items I can order unless they are in here with me?" She repeated the same policy but I could order the rest digitally. Limited on time at this point, I left, dropped my son off for the game without feeding him, and went to Sonic. I really would have preferred the healthier option and will just go to Panera Bread next time. Most families are an average of 4, and a Mom who is just trying to get a quick healthy lunch for her family of 6 would have to order 2 different ways not knowing the policy walking in for the first time. I have never heard of this before and would like to understand the reasoning behind...
Read moreThe food is outstanding but the delivery and service is horrible. I ordered delivery and CAVA uses a 3rd party delivery service. The food and delivery really tack on quite a bill. I do not mind the higher price for quick quality delivered unless the service is problematic, in which case I expect them to make it right. I received my order with the Pita but instead of getting my drink I received an empty cup (Bone dry). Astonished at the lack of delivery I called the store and both the Manager "Anthony" and the female worker asked "The Uber Driver didn't fill the cup?" My response to this would have to be in favor of food safety "Did you require the dirty handed driver to prepare any of my other food?" After some scolding of the manager he finally relented and offered to give another drink and something else, if I came into the store. I had to explain to him my plans did not include going back out. Unsatisfactory.
Uber Eats: If there is a problem you can get reimbursed, but I found the process difficult to find on their website and they include a time limit of one hour. Additionally they state you can change the tip on their FAQs but then when I contacted chat support was told that was impossible.
Again, for the prices charged here I expect top quality and service. Quality of the food is excellent. Service is terrible. Hopefully they get this...
