Who ever is readying this and is from New York? Or a relocate? Who is looking for THE BEST New York style pizza and calzones? As someone that moved back from Florida from Manhattan, THIS IS THE ONLY TRUE NEW YORK PIZZA that I have found to date that , when I close my eyes after taking a bite of my pizza, puts me right back in Manhattan taking a bite of Joe’s pizza. Yes, it reminds me of Joe’s Pizza on Broadway that we all went to eat at after a play. Today I ordered a Calzone, I normally get a cheese pizza and a half dozen of garlic rolls. This are, seriously the BEST and FRESH garlic knots.
All i am saying is, GIVE THIS PLACE A CHANCE! Look at all the positive results. You will taste and smell Manhattan when you eat in this place. The young man behind the scenes is always making sure he does the best that he can, so dedicated. I believe he is the owners son. I think they have other locations not sure, only care about this one. LOL
No I have nothing to do with the owners, I have no clue who they are, I am a pizza freak that’s all. I use to eat Pizza seven days a week. Now I’m down to four or five days a week. Ive tried all the pizza places around here”Stavropol in Grand Island and eustis location is awesome as week, Greek pizza and then FREAKING BEST GREEK SALADS YOU WILL EVER HAVE) The place downtown eustis that claims to have NEW YORK PIZZA that uses a Conveyor oven to cook their “NEW YORK STYLE PIZZA” ummmmmmmmm, yeah about that?! I visited about 30 to 40 pizza Restaurants in New York to New Jersey WOULD NEVER CLAIM TO BE COOKING NEW YORK PIZZA AND USE A Conveyor Oven. The owner does not know what customer service is, very unfortunate. The pizza is really, really good but WAY over priced for this area. What she does not know is her own guest are scared of her due to the way she treats people. Very sad but I hope one day she realized how she speaks and treats her guest. If she does one day, I’m be her first Customer that left due to her mannerisms towards her guest.

Read moreFiguered I'd update my review. After the year or two since I originally posted I can say that this place is still as hostile and full of itself as ever. After calling in my order and arriving 15 minutes later I was told that my order hadn't been received. The guy proceeds to stare at me until I state that I'll just reorder. There was only one party eating there. I don't see how they could just not put in my order. These people have no etiquette.
Anthony's pizza was very good pizza. I didn't really have high expectations going in but was very pleased with the food. They have more than just pizza. There menu includes typical Italian place items but I'm usually just in it for the pizza. I didn't actually have any of the other dishes.
I had an issue with the lighting. They use florescent bulbs around 2700k and given the distance between them and the table combined with a very noticeable flickering it was both difficult and uncomfortable to see.
Also, I'm not sure if its the manager or owner or whoever but he's kind of a dick. I called to order a pizza and got the distinct impression that he was annoyed. When i arrived to pick it up he didn't really address me and got my order whilst in the midst of a very loud very opinionated conversation with what I'm assuming were costumers. Openly complaining about his employees and their needing specific days off. Maybe someone should have told him before hand that running a business is stressful. The food is good but i have serious reservations about...
Read moreI’d like to preface this review by saying that it pains me to provide a 3 star rating to this restaurant. The staff is friendly, and they recognize regulars, the food is fine, average for the area, and the prices aren’t bad either. As a matter of fact, the only reason I’m giving 3 stars is because of the dine in experience. There is something morbidly wrong with their fountain drink machine. All of the sodas taste very strongly like spearmint flavored gum and the staff doesn’t seem to know why. Two separate visits over a month apart this was the case. Now, the staff was very happy to offer me a different flavor when I first pointed it out, and even the second flavor was just as bad. The first visit that I noticed this issue other patrons complained of the same issue, and the staff tried the soda and also noticed it. I’m bothered that it isn’t fixed yet, because the taste is truly awful and I’m slightly worried it might be from the chemicals used to clean the lines. To point out, the first time I noticed this issue, over a month ago the sodas I tried were Diet Coke and root beer. Today was Diet Coke and sprite. My mom had water and her water tasted fine. As I mentioned, my experience at Anthony’s is always great, and I’ve been coming here for almost 10 years, but I would be doing a disservice if I didn’t inform the restaurant or other patrons of...
