This place JUST opened, and, on the surface, the service is exceptional. I was greeted and thanked and attended to at every point. There are even tiny chairs for purses!
I do have one complaint.
I ordered a burger medium-well. I don’t like blood in my burger.
When I picked the burger up, blood streamed out, so I told the waiter it wasn’t what I ordered, and he took the burger away to bring me one that was what I ordered. Instead, I am all but positive the same burger was returned to me, just squished onto the grill for more inner cooking.
When my burger was brought back, the bun was coated with oil (no idea why you’d oil a bun inside AND out), unlike the first time it was brought. It was squished. Also, when I picked it up (oiling my hands), half the burger fell out, but it was a chunk that was fully independent of the other part of the burger (someone had just cooked the separate pieces of it, rather than make one whole burger).
My nearly $60 meal, was given treatment you wouldn’t find at McDonald’s.
If it had been properly replaced with a new meal, I would have given a five star review.
The burger was hard and charred (like it had been crisped twice). It was a gross burger, and I’m pretty sure the same burger I’d had before.
I ate it because I hadn’t eaten anything all day and it was 2pm. I also ordered a yogurt with chocolate chips which came and was delicious.
But my meal was almost $60, and the literal “meat” of it was truly disgusting.
The ambiance is amazing. The wait staff are kind. Whoever is cooking needs a pep talk, and I would like refunded for my burger.
This is a picture of the first burger. I wish I had taken a picture when it came back too (which is against health code), but I was honestly so shocked and disturbed I didn’t want to know what would happen if I sent it back again, and I was starving. No joke, I went to Wendys after for a...
Read moreI have to say I was greeted warmly and seated quickly. The host was accommodating when I asked for a booth. The atmosphere was mostly nice but the acoustics are horrible. We were greeted by our server right away. This was the last time our server was timely. Our food was timed poorly for our four top. 2 people received their food quickly but the other 2 members of our party had to wait a considerable time for theirs. Im sorry, but a table of 4 is too small to enforce the “when 2 are served” rule. I could understand a little better of the restaurant had been packed but this was not the case. Our waiter spent most of his time examining some sort of condiment table facing a wall and was not attentive. We tipped accordingly to the type of service we were given. The waiter then informed us a 25% tip was mandatory and lied and said this was written on the menu. It is not. After a very uncomfortable exchange we changed our tip and left. It honestly left a taste so bad in my mouth I cannot remember if the food was good. Additionally we were supposed to be receiving a credit toward our breakfast through the room package we selected that the restaurant seemed very...
Read moreI have been looking forward to having food from here since Garden Cafe closed a couple of years ago.
Today I had the chance. I was running a little late getting ready to meet friends. I called down from my room to place a pick up order. They didn't accept phone orders, which I understand. I went down to place my order. The host, Spiro, who I recognized from Garden Cafe was there. I walked up to the counter. He looked at me and then went over to a family who was discussing plans. They passed on being seated. He came back to the counter I was at and busied himself with menus and looking at the reservation screen. He didn't even look up as he told me I would be helped in a moment. He continued to busy himself until the female host came over, apologized, and took my order.
I did not appreciate being made to feel "less than". While the female host was gracious and the food was excellent, I will be making sure to see who is hosting before...
