Cold Stone Creamery — Restaurant in Fairfield

I typically refrain from leaving negative reviews or even taking the time to write one, but this situation warrants a comment. Today, I decided to indulge myself as it is my birthday. I requested a "Like it" size served in a waffle bowl. The woman attending to me spoke in a heavy accent, and I understood her to say, "Do you want it in a waffle bowl?" I replied, "Yes, a waffle bowl." She glanced at me coldly and resumed her tasks. Upon tasting the waffle bowl, I found it to be stale and old in flavor! I notified the employee who served me the ice cream that the waffle bowl was stale, and she responded with an attitude, saying, "That's what I told you!" I then requested a new waffle cone, to which she shook her head, rolled her eyes, and remarked, "They are all like that." I questioned why she didn't simply discard them, but she ignored my inquiry. This is not the first instance of such behavior. I have observed the rudeness of the employees. They were quite pleasant when the previous owner operated the business, but now that they have settled in, their demeanor has changed to one of rudeness. Additionally, the portion size was exceedingly small. There were literally only five spoonfuls of ice cream left, and the brownie was stale as well. I've been meaning to write this review for a a while. Unfortunately after two visits to the Fairfield location (and no way to review the visits outside of leaving this review) my husband and I are very very disappointed and shocked with the lack of professionalism and cleanliness this location displayed. Oma was so rude to my husband (and the young boy working with her) he walked out and thats when i went in to get what we drove there for. She too was extremely unprofessional, messy (ingredients were everywhere) and rude. We got home and started eating the icecream and mine had mint taste in it (probably from the mess of a station they had and just as the graham cracker crumbs were tossed over other things, the mint probably was over my cookies). For the price of the icecream we paid and service we received we will NOT be returning to this location. Oma should not work in public/ with customers with her attitude and lack of...

AVOID THIS SHOP .... SERVICE IS MEDIOCRE AT BEST!!!

My daughter called at 9:20PM to see if the ice cream shop was still open. The person who answered the phone said, "Yes, we are open until 10:00PM. We hopped in the car and arrived at the shop at 9:38PM. The door was open and when we walked in, the "girl" working said ... "We are closed". I said, "we just called and you said you were open until 10:00PM". She looked at me, shrugged her shoulders, and walked into the back. Unacceptable!!!
