This place(Fargo location) has gone so far downhill over the past year, it is sad. First for a "fast food" place, the drive/thru has been shut down for MONTHS. Really convenient for those of us that have limited lunch time. THEN- you take in the fact of the lack of staff, efficiency and friendliness from the staff.... I have had enough bad experiences at this place to call it a day. Panera used to be one of my favorite places to enjoy a healthy, clean eating lunch with my kiddos. I 'm not sure what happened to this place, but it is very disappointing. The online ordering is down half the time, so when you are traveling with just you and a sleeping baby in the backseat, you can not make a pick-up order...they no longer have cashiers taking your order at ready- I have had to ASK for someone rather than using the kiosk. What happened to LIVE customer service?? No longer do they bring your order to your table, either; instead, the buzzer goes off and you are to go to the back pick-up counter to experience a very stressful environment watching the kitchen staff running around like chickens with their heads cut off. Read more2023 09-13 () Very sad to report that something has changed at Panera and it isn't what it used to be. Their iced coffee (my favorite item) is terrible now. Very weak and flavorless. Also, you can't order a beverage (1 beverage!!) in the app w/o getting a pop-up saying your order is too large for them to prepare at the current time so pick a new time--which is always the next day! Are they so busy at 10am they can't pour 1 beverage over the next 10hrs! The biggest problem is that sip club beverages can't be ordered a day in advance so I'm unable to order the 1 beverage I want w/o going into the store and standing in line. So long, from a 3 year sip club member! Pre late summer 2023 () Staff is very friendly. While the initial interaction with the staff was satisfactory, the subsequent encounter with the personnel responsible for packing our food left much to be desired. Regrettably, the handling of our order by an employee with black hair resulted in food items being carelessly thrown into the bag, leading to an unfortunate mess. Furthermore, our simple request for a side sauce was met with an unpleasant disregard, as it was tossed across the counter.
Adding to the disappointment, it came to our attention that the kitchen staff neglected our order, prioritizing those who had placed their orders considerably later. This led to an extended wait for the collection of our two sandwiches and a serving of soup, even though a substantial portion of the menu offerings appeared to be pre-made.
