My family received a gift certificate from our daycare for Christmas. I took my children there yesterday to use their gift cert to pick out some treats. They were super excited to go to a candy shop - we had never been there before and they had fun choosing their candies/cookies/gelato. The store has a large selection - very crowded with lots of inventory made it hard to shop. No one asked us if we needed help, overall vibe wasn't welcoming at all. When we went up to the cashier to check out, the elderly lady checking us out made a rude and unnecessary comment -my total was $19.XX - I handed her the $20 gift certificate, to which she immediately pointed out "You won't be getting any change". OKAY lady - and that is JUST FINE. SMH. Took our purchases home...the gelato was OK. Cookies were hard - nothing special. Overall experience was disappointing and we won't be back. I am sure we can get subpar gelato and cookies somewhere else, but without the attitude....

After years of living in Fargo, I can confirm that the one reason I will ALWAYS return to this town is Sweet Dreams Confections. I have never met such kind employees that were so readily helpful, and the store is always immaculate. I've never bought even a stale gummy bear from this place, everything is fresh fresh fresh! Their food is delicious, and their selection of old fashioned candy and fudge is unmatched. If you are in Fargo, your trip isn't over till you stop by sweet dreams! With a wonderful selection of North Dakota made sweets and goodies, it's the perfect shop to get souvenirs and a fresh lunch, maybe even some vintage sodas for the road!
