I used to like this place a lot but yesterday the workers embarrassed me and I don't know if I'll ever be back. There's some other reviews on here about language barriers, even to the people who spoke spanish to the workers and they didn't understand. (I know the one guy doesn't speak english or spanish, it's a different language.) I went up and ordered and this guy spoke zero english, so I tried my best to order clearly and he understood what I was saying. But I think they were doing this on purpose because I had already ordered what I wanted and then they decided to start explaining what I was ordering and asking questions that weren't relevant to the food I had just ordered. (i'm serious, they completely understood me the first time and repeated exactly what I had just said.) I just looked at them and I didn't understand anything at all, then they started laughing at me. Staring and laughing at me too. I almost left. And then when it came to paying, the girl at the register was still laughing at me and then what was weird, was she decided to change the way she was talking with a different accent than what she was originally using. She spoke almost perfect english the entire time up until the point after they laughed at me. They seemed irritated I kept asking them to repeat what they were saying but I'm not that bad at understanding people, thats why I really do think this was on purpose after they laughed at me. And then they were so busy with that, they kept forgetting to give me the rest of the order. I don't know what to think because the food is good but I felt so embarrassed, and usually...
Read moreI asked for a simple cheese quesadilla and got told to order from the menu, which is fine. I figured it was very pricey but I was already there, so I ordered the big birria quesadillas (it's a 2 quesadilla meal) but without the birria. $14. But then I got charged $21 and tried to ask why it was so expensive while reiterating that I wasn't trying to be rude at all and I'm just confused. I was met with attitude and something along the lines of because it was vegetarian. I don't understand why that would be more expensive, nothing was added only taken away. Ended up paying $22 for a two big huge cheese quesadillas with salsa on the side. The menu VERY clearly said $14. Right before I ordered a lady came up to say she didn't want onion and proceeded to show the box absolutely FULL of onions. Definitely skip this place, the food was okay but the prices and service were atrocious. Go somewhere else and get 10x more food for...
Read moreWho would've thought it...delicious perfectly seasoned birria in Fargo of all places? I honestly haven't had birria this good since I left Tucson. The guacamole, even though it was pre-made, was chunky and full of flavor. The salsas were also outstanding. If you're a heat junkie like me, ask for the special chile sauce they have behind the counter. It's still not "super hot", but it's delicious especially with the guacamole. Lastly, the consomme served with either the birria quesadilla or the tacos is both savory and bright, somehow at the same time. If I had to offer just one item of constructive criticism, it's that I'd recommend using a different cheese than mozzarella, perhaps queso quesadilla, Monterey jack, or similar. That would pump up the already-outstanding flavor even...
