Poorly managed. I've been in the restaurant and hospitality industry for over 5 years as a server, bartender, and manager. On St. Patrick's day, this place was running two bartenders for a crowd of close to 100 people. The manager didn't help bail out the drowning bartenders until hours after they were beyond swamped. And all the manager did was open and close tabs, didn't help make a drink or grab a beer. Just left the the two bartenders struggling. The bartenders were way in over their heads as well. They were slow and had a poor work flow. They didn't communicate well to each other at all and were in a constant panic the whole time I was there. I was there for three hours and not by choice. It took 30 minutes to get a order in while I was right up at the bar and then another 10 minutes to actually get the drink. 40 minutes for one drink? That should never happen. Then closing out my tab took another 40 minutes. I'm not mad or upset. I'm over it but this had to be said so hopefully the management and staff can improve on their operations. Read moreI was here with a couple of friends recently (Saturday) and unfortunately had to witness the staff throw out a rowdy group, one of which was a young man (amongst a group of men who were also knocking over chairs and yelling insults) yelling racial slurs and insults and seemed to be quite proud of himself since he shouted his name out letter by letter so everyone in the vicinity knew who he was. He also put hands on multiple staff members in anger, so while the situation is now resolved I do hope that lies/exaggerations from disgruntled drunks don’t deter anyone from giving them a shot! The staff handled the situation so well, called the police and were still attentive to us sitting on the patio. I’ve come to this bar for years, it’s a staple downtown and the staff are incredible. Our designated drivers decided to grab coffee and sit outside with us, not a few minutes later the server told us that since they don't serve coffee they either had to throw it away or drink it really fast. Brand new coffees, and they couldn't even just stand outside the fenced area on the sidewalk.
