Last nights experience with our server was horrible. To the point that my husband asked that we never come back. And that in its self should speak volumes but I’m going to share our experience in detail so that it can be understood why it was such an awful experience. Our server a young pregnant lady who never offered her name so I can’t directly let everyone know who she is and am having to settle with describing her appearance. She seemed kind at first but instantly seemed to have an issue with my helping my Hispanic husband of 19 years order his meal the way he told me he wanted it. His English is limited but also confuses foods and has a hard time ordering exactly what he wants. He tells me before the sever gets to the table so that I can help facilitate the process with out him getting embarrassed or feeling some kind of way. Anyway she stiffened and was visibly annoyed at how our family obviously operates and has been operating comfortably for MANY years. When she asked what kind of potato he wanted he did say loaded and I offered “ without sour cream” he ALWAYS forgets and then it comes with sour cream and he refuses to eat it. Oh but she gave a condescending ok and and wouldn’t even look at me. And guess what the potato came out with sour cream anyway and I stopped her and said “ is that sour cream? He won’t eat it” she then makes him pick up this oozing potato and put it in a dirty salad bowl. And says “ well I told them not to put it on there” when I asked for Worcestershire sauce she tried to pass off MALT VINEGAR and said “ here’s the sauce you asked for” I said “ oh no no I don’t want vinegar on my steak I asked for Worcestershire sauce.” To which she responded “ oh ya well, we don’t carry that any more.” Now I KNEW that was a lie because I was just there for my daughters birthday dinner and our fantastic server had no problems bringing me some. So I got up went to the hostess counter and asked the sweetest young man with the curliest hair if he could get me some and he said “SURE” went in the kitchen to get it and the waitress walks up and says “ is there a problem” I said “ no not at all they are just getting me Worcestershire sauce.” She just responded with “oh “ and walked off. When it came time for the check she saw my card on the table next to me and asked my spouse if he wanted the check. Came back and tried to hand the check to him vs the person who literally has their card in hand to pay. She was rude, childish and passive aggressive. She got a 10% tip and I went up to the young man who helped me and gave him $10 ( the other half of what she would have gotten) because he treated me with more respect and kindness than her. And he was kind and grateful. You could tell it made his night but his customer service and helping me when it’s not his job title really meant a lot. That kid is a keeper! As for the server she needs to check her bias at the door. Not every family operates the same and trying to pass off vinegar as if I asked for it and then lying will get...
Read moreMe and my wife had never come here since we just moved to Washington, We decided to give it a chance tonight. Our server was Samantha G. My wife got the Salmon, I got the Pulled pork sandwich and we both split an onion ring. First initial impression of my meal was the pulled pork was dry not a whole lot of flavor, I didn’t get the skinny fries I initially asked for with my meal, my server gave me steak fries I decided just to eat it anyways didn’t feel like waiting longer. My sweet tea was probably the most decent part of my whole meal. My wife enjoyed her Salmon though so that’s why I even gave a 3 star review. The whole reason I’m leaving a review is because I was sat at table 20 right in eye shot of the Expo pass over shelf. I could see my server the entire time and the rest of the crew for that matter. I couldn’t help but to notice my server drop a to go container, it was one of the plastic bowls with a lid flat on the ground, pick it back up and then take it to the table of elderly people across from us to my right. First off, when something drops on the ground you don’t pick it up and hand it to the customer for them to put their left overs in. Especially since there is peanut shells all over the ground your servers are stepping in constantly tracking them every where. You don’t know if that woman has a peanut allergy and that’s also really disgusting. It takes five seconds to grab a new container. After sitting and watching for a minute I couldn’t help myself, I went over and told the elderly woman whom my server Samantha handed the container too that the server had dropped her container on the ground and handed it to her anyways. When the elderly woman asked the server about it. Samantha blatantly lied and said she never did, even though me being a customer who has nothing to gain from this experience watched her do it, come on have some integrity. That’s exactly the whole reason I even am leaving a review, if your servers are okay lying to elderly customers I wonder what other poor practices are being done at this establishment. I did notify the manager he continued to say sorry over and over and not give me a second to talk, my server never came back to my table, probably due to embarrassment, I didn’t raise my voice or act in any vigorous manner to cause a scene. I expressed my concerns but sadly management disregarded my concerns as well and cashed me out. I never have not tipped before, even if the food is terrible. But watching Samantha G lie to an elderly woman to her face, that’s what struck a nerve with me. That woman could’ve got sick from what ever was on the ground, she looked well into her mid 60’s. Please do better and don’t serve your customers to go containers that you drop on the ground, even the health department would agree with that. I attached a receipt from my visit to furthermore prove I was present and dining in. This is a one and done for me though, I will not...

Craving a hearty, home-style meal with a Texas twist? Look no further than Jimmy Mac's Roadhouse in Federal Way! While some items might not hit the mark every time (looking at you, ribs!), the overall experience offers a fun, family-friendly atmosphere and dishes that are sure to satisfy.
Honey Butter Bliss:
Let's start with the highlight of the show: the unlimited hot yeast rolls with honey butter. These fluffy babies arrive warm and pillowy, begging to be devoured. The real magic lies in the accompanying honey butter – it's smooth, sweet, and perfectly complements the savory warmth of the rolls. Be warned: it's dangerously addictive, and before you know it, you might have polished off a basket (or two) before your main course even arrives. Pro tip: save some honey butter for your burger or fries later – you won't regret it!
Beyond the Bread Basket:
The menu at Jimmy Mac's is brimming with options, from juicy steaks and BBQ classics to burgers and seafood. While my personal experience with the ribs left me wanting more in terms of moisture, other dishes delivered on the taste and portion size. The Campfire Chicken Burger was a winner, boasting a juicy chicken patty topped with melty cheese, bacon, and tangy BBQ sauce. The steak fries were perfectly crispy and seasoned, making them the ideal sidekick.
A Fun-Filled Fiesta:
Beyond the food, Jimmy Mac's offers a lively atmosphere that's perfect for families and groups. The restaurant is decorated with Western memorabilia, setting the mood for a casual and fun dining experience. The staff is friendly and attentive, adding to the overall positive vibe.
The Verdict:
While not everything might be a home run, Jimmy Mac's Roadhouse is a solid choice for a satisfying and enjoyable meal in Federal Way. Just remember to pace yourself with those irresistible honey butter rolls, and maybe give the ribs a miss. With its warm hospitality, diverse menu, and, of course, those legendary rolls, it's a place worth rounding up your posse for a Texas-sized good time.
Rating: 3 out of 5 honey butter-glazed rolls and the good service (minus 2 for...
