No thankyou.
I came at 9:30 Sunday morning, table for one. I walked in the door to find about 4 families waiting. I stood by the counter waiting for them to put me on the wait list for a table. The host didn't acknowledge me in any way. He SLOWLY looked over the list, grabbed menus and proceeded to seat the families already waiting. About 10 minutes passes and neither of the two hosts has even looked at me (no joke, not even a glance, they looked right through me).
Then a family of 3 shoves their way through the door and interrupts the host from grabbing menus and say they want a table. He writes their name down and walks off. The other host (a bus boy I think) walks by and I politely asked if I could get on the waiting list and he barely says "ok" scribbles me on the waiting list and walks off. 20 - 25 minutes from when I walked in the door the kid finally seats me in the back corner 2 feet from the bathroom door and the bus tray behind my back. Kid tells me, " I'll be back to get your drink", walks off. I look around and about 3/4 of the tables have people sitting at them, no server to be found. I checked my phone to see what time it was. 5 minutes pass, finally a server appears and walks right past me, not even a hello. Another couple of minutes and the host kid is seating another group next to me and I have to flag him down to ask if he can get me a coffee and an orange juice. He comes back, plops the two drinks down right on my paper menu. Whoever poured the coffee musta missed because the cup had coffee running all down the outside soaking into my menu... He walks off, not a word.
I wait another 4 or 5 minutes and finally the server for my section emerges but doesn't get to me for about 2 more minutes. She walks up "Good morning, what do you want?" I'm like "uh, omelet and a waffle" she wrinkles her face and says "huh?" I repeat myself and she goes, "that'll be extra." I assume she means substituting a waffle for toast?? I say that will be fine and she walks off without looking up from her notepad or tablet thingy. My coffee was half empty when she took my order but she didn't notice. Food came out in about 15 minutes (not to bad of a wait) but a different server, older gal brings me my food. At least she looked at me and smiled and said "Here you go, the waffles are really good!" I smilled and said thank you.
Finished eating, food was mediocre but not the worst. I put my fork down and sit back to wait for the server to notice I'm ready for the check, She walks by a few times and doesn't look in my direction. Finally I intentionally make eye contact and she says "ready for the check? You can pay right now at your table." I said okay sounds good. I give her my card and she says "oh, do you want some more coffee?" I'm like... Uh no, I'm ready to leave. She says have a good day, walks off. I get up and leave, nobody acknowledges me, not even a glance from the staff to say thanks for coming in.
So, if you want mediocre food, 40$ plate and to be ignored for an hour definitely come to this place.
Needless to say I will never come back here. And folks I'm easily pleased, this was just a...
Read moreI suggested to a friend that we meet there for lunch today because I had been there a few times with my son and his family and knew the food and the service there was good, friendly and affordable. It was my friends first time, though. I was detained and instead of getting there at 1:30 it was a little after 2:00. I noticed there were not many people there, but just thought we had missed the crowd. My friend is going thru a difficult time in her life right now and I hoped to encourage her over a good lunch in a comfortable place. A few times during our conversation, she was in tears and was so thankful to have someone to "unburden" with.
Partly because of where we were sitting, and partly because we were so engrossed in our conversation, I did not even notice that an employee had stacked the chairs on all the tables in the main dinning room and was cleaning the floors. That is, I did not notice until we got up to leave the restaurant... around 3:30. As we walked out the door I looked at their posted hours. They were supposed to close at 2:30!!! We had stayed one whole hour after their closing time!!! I had no idea that they closed at that time! I was so embarrassed! HOWEVER, NOT ONE TIME did ANYONE say anything to us about staying so long. NOT ONE TIME did ANYONE make us feel rushed or that we were being a bother!! EVERYONE was so kind! When I saw their closing time on the door, I could see our sweet little waitress cleaning off our table. I "mouthed" to her that I was SO SORRY and that I didn't know!! She just sweetly smiled and "mouthed" back to me, "No problem".
I really liked Bisquits Cafe before. However, because of their kindness when to us when they had the right to point out to us that they were closed, they continued to serve us and treat us as if we were someone special, they are NOW the #1 restaurant in my book and I will sing their praises to anyone who will listen!
Thank you so much... not only for the DELICIOUS FOOD and FAST, FRIENDLY SERVICE, but also for show kindness in a world where you don't often see it! May God bless you and prosper your...
Read moreI like to support smaller businesses so I decided to try this place instead of going to the usual popular breakfast places. I donât usually leave reviews unless Iâm very happy with my experience or very upset. I came in today with my 2 year old. We waited to be seated, the hostess looked busy but acknowledged us with a smile, then she came and asked us to seat ourselves. Iâve worked at restaurants before so I noticed most people were sitting on one side of the restaurant so I asked the hostess. Can we sit on this side? She said yes. I went and sat near the restroom, I even had time to get a booster seat and set it up for my child. We didnât even have a menu and about 4 mins later an employee comes out of nowhere and looks at us. I thought âOh great that must be our serverâ from about 10 ft away she loudly asks âDid you seat yourselves?â And says something like âThis area is actually closed and you need to sit over here (moving her arms towards that area)â I told her we were asked to seat ourselves and that I had actually asked if I could take any table and was told I could (my tone of voice was pretty neutral btw). Very annoyed and pretty rude she insisted we had to move. So I pick up my toddler and I hear her talking to the hostess about it, kind of scolding her. At this point I was very uncomfortable, other people were eating and seeing what was going on. I walked towards the area where she wanted us to sit, nobody followed us to offer a new table and they all looked dirty or taken so I just walked away! There are ways to ask for things and if this is the customer service you offer, Iâm not sure that I want to try your food. I left very disappointed. My daughter was crying on our way out because she wanted a waffle! As a mother and a person of color I felt very disrespected in the way we were...
