I have never liked the customer service at this store, as a result I have always used the Valley Park store. Up until the mandatory shut downs the Valley Park store was always superior when it came to customer service and order accuracy. Now the customer service is horrible and the accuracy of delivery is horrible. Every single time that I have asked for napkins and extra mayo packets they are never provided but the thing that gets me the most was the experience I had back in April. I placed an order through the app, normally when I have done this my food has always been delivered in a timely manner, but on this particular day 45 minutes later no food. Thinking I had made a mistake I called the store to see if I had chosen pick-up instead of delivery. The kid that answered the phone was so rude and short. I explained why I was calling, he snapped at me and ended up hanging up on me. I called back and canceled my order. Waited a while later and asked to speak with a Mgr. I got the shift Mgr, who was nice enough but I was so mad I did not want to deal with her, she did give me another number for the GM Eric. I left a voicemail but he never called. I did end up speaking with Josh, (don't recall his position) We have a very lengthy conversation where he explained the changes and such going on in the store due to COVID 19. Personally I feel like this is no excuse to be rude to anyone and said as much to Josh. He agreed and assured me that issue would be addressed yet at the same time he was making excuses for this guy. Josh also promised me that he was going to do something to make me extremely happy. he said he was going to give me the "hook up". I did stress I was not calling looking for freebies or anything else but he said it was something he wanted to do. Well that "hook up" never happened and it has been over a month. I have ordered a few time since then and have been at home so when I did not get the mayo I requested I was able to find a substitute but yesterday I placed an order and had it to delivered to work. We do not keep mayo, ranch dressing, or anything else on the office. The mayo I requested was needed, and I did select it on the app. I did not get it once again. This time I called the store, all I wanted was for them to bring the mayo I requested. I spoke to the same shift Mgr as before. She said the order did not show through app and since it didn't come through on the app there was nothing she could do. She also stated they have had some issues with the app lately. I know I put in the request, so the mistake in the order was not mine but theirs and yet they didn't want to or care to make things right. My order was an unwich with means no bread, mayo was definitely needed. I am not a daily customer but I do order on a pretty regular basis. Not anymore. Customer service is horrible, order accuracy is subpar, and obviously management makes a promise they don't intend to keep. Sadly, I will no longer be returning to this location until the older female âmanagerâ behind the counter is replaced. I've been coming to this location for the better part of two years. Ever since this âmanagerâ was hired the management and customer service of this location has gone completely downhill.
Over the course of an entire year I have observed the following issues with this location. Here are just a few things that should prevent anyone from coming here:
⢠The manager is extremely rude to everyone: customers, employees, etc. ⢠The manager enjoys talking about private affairs in front of unacquainted customers. ⢠The manager often times claims there is âno bread leftâ when there are several racks of it visible to the customer. ⢠The manager has no sense of customer service, when approached with an issue regarding an order she immediately becomes hostile and defensive. She usually starts with, "What's wrong!?" accompanied with a smug look on her face. ⢠When asking about napkins or additional condiments the manager looks at you as if youâre committing a crime. ⢠The manager constantly takes breaks while leaving her employees to work. ⢠The manager parks her car in the only spot that isnât handicap in front of the store so that she can check her phone and smoke between sprints of working. ⢠The manager never says, âThank youâ âYouâre welcomeâ or use any form of politeness with her customers. ⢠The manager does not appreciate her customers, they appear to be an annoyance to her. ⢠There is often only one employee working in the store while another is doing deliveries. ⢠The store can randomly be closed for no apparent reason. ⢠The ice machine is often times empty. ⢠There is pigeon poop all over the front entry way â you literally have to walk over dead worms and white poop to get into the store.
My advice to any future customers is to drive the extra mile and visit Jimmy Johnâs in Sunset Hills or Arnold.

To be honest, I refuse to even complain about my experiences because I work in a restaurant and understand the stressors of the job and how things can go wrong/be difficult. However, last night, my experience with this Jimmy John's location was just plain rude. My sister was in labor on 4/20/20. She requested Jimmy John's at 6:40pm, knowing that they closed at 7pm. I hurriedly ordered through the Jimmy Johns app for delivery, and my order was placed at 6:48pm (I received my confirmation email at 6:51pm). At 7:01pm, I received a phone call from who I can only assume to be the manager on duty stating that he received this order too late and he had already had his table closed down for the night. I have used this app often and on every occasion, my order has been received instantaneously (I once ordered through the app and 2 minutes later pulled up through the drive-through with my order ready - ya know, because they're supposed to be 'Freaky Fast'). Since the manager seemed to wait to call almost 10 full minutes after the order was placed through the app, I assumed he did not want to take the delivery. I began begging the manager to make the two sandwiches and I will come pick it up (it's literally the only thing this mother to be wanted to eat). He began rudely huffing on the other end of the phone like I've offended him (oh, I'm sorry I placed an order while your restaurant was STILL OPEN - who closes an entire food line 15 minutes before close, anyway??) and began rattling off excuses as to why he wouldn't be able to fulfill the order ("it'll take me 30 minutes to get my table up and going again") and that he would refund the payment. During these times, how you treat your customers (new and returning) is extremely important. If this manager would have gone the extra mile, this review would have gone a completely different way.
